[cir] Saiche

Post by nielske »

Hey everyone,

Here's a new little project. I intended to make a really long track at a really small world size. I made this cool height map for it, and after a bit of driving, I realised I really didn't like any of the turns in the infield. So what did I do? I bulldozed the lot and left the outer ring :P

So now it's a fast, forgiving track that's lots of fun to drive. I must have done about 600 laps already (no exaggeration... unfortunately). But it's only 6½ seconds long, so I suppose that's all right. Right?

Give it a try, I'm sure you'll enjoy it. See if you can beat my lap record (6.19 s.)! I'm sure there are some better drivers out here.

Thanks,
nielske :cflag:

PS: Though wide, the first turn is a big mess with 6 players. I'd recommend 1 to 3 players. This goes for most of my tracks.

Nice layout and racing action, but the two pits are definately not enough for six cars racing on the track :D
I think all of your tracks look like they were made 6 years ago. Which is not bad, in combination with the new objects :bg:
But I personally don't like the runoff texture so much. I think simple sand would have been better here.

XYY: Oh dear, am I that 'out of fashion'?

I might agree the sand mix clashes a little, colour wise, but I wanted to avoid the place looking like a desert (which it was, before), because I felt it needed lighter colours.

Thanks for the feedback.

No quick lap times?
[edit: with the standard formula car]

I like how it looks, can't wait to drive! :bg:
The AE86 is undoubtedly the best drift car ever. If for nothing else, for its longevity.
