Joint Effort Tree - a slightly different Joint Effort

why don't we make it weird and do the squares as thirds? :)

Interesting idea. I see this going like this: one person starts and makes 1/3 of the track. Persons 2 and 3 make the next triangle (different one each), then persons 4,5,6,7 finish off, giving us 4 different tracks by 7 authors. Is this how you meant?

Exactly that :) simply as a way how to reduce the number of people in the "pyramid scheme" :D

Nothing just yet, we need at least 2 more people to be able to even do the triangle variation, which is a lot smaller in terms of required track makers.

But maybe we can start thinking about the track type. Any suggestions?

I have little experience, the ones I have made (and only recently realised have not all/even released) are normal circuit, not rally or stunt stuff. Normal circuits/have my preference.

I pretty like road circuits. :bg:
Also Rallycross ones are good, with the start grid in line and far from the circuit, 50% dirt and 50% road.

Okay, I think we should start and hope that a few (or at least one) more people will join as we go. As of now, the participating trackmakers are:

Mad Dan
Marco
Onik73
Txizzle
Dragon
egamad

I would agree that a road track would be nice, as a few of you have suggested. I propose a small-ish world size, maybe something around 120-140. Mad Dan, can we ask you to create the first square triangle? ;)

Oh, okay, if you don't want me, I'll just leave...

Just kidding, I'd like to join as well. I should have some time to make a lil' triangle around Christmas time. :) I agree with you on the WS.

I emailed Dan about creating the first triangle, as he hadn't responded to my proposal here. We'll wait a few days before assigning someone else with the task of creating the first triangle.

Also hi Aleksi and Scholl!! :heyea:

I just heard from Dan, and will be very busy in the following weeks, so we should pick another starter. I'm thinking Aleksi Scholl. :) What do you say?

Here´s the first part.

I adapted to the current weather with some snow and Fir Trees.
I hope you guys like it.

Next please! :bsmile:

Edit:I´m sorry, but I don´t think it´s possible to put three, same-sized triangles into a square. Mathematically it´s just not possible.
So I ended up with three squares instead. I hope that´s alright.

Edit: i will make a new piece that confirms with JE rules.

Yup, that's pretty much the idea... similarly to what I proposed to Scholl in a PM, which was to take an inscribed circle and divide it into 3 parts, going from there. Obviously there would be some leftover land, but that's just some "free" land to play with. :)

We're not going to count pixels, so no biggie. :taped:

So, what's going on? I have my last exam of the year tomorrow, so after that I'd have a plenty of free time, but after christmas I'll be pretty much locked again. :scared:
