[rwl] [cir] Autodromo de Rosamonte, Posadas

Post by Black Rebel »

Hello,

this is a circuito from the Turismo Carretera series again, as Balcarce. This time it is the...
AUTODROMO DE ROSAMONTE at POSADAS city.

The circuit was built in 1980 but was completely renewed at 2007 in order of being able to get the best possible competitions racing in there. One of the most characteristic things in the area is the brown and red colour of the ground in the circuit and city area. It is not the cleanest dithering to do on GR, but it is like this in real life... I could have even added some more red, but it would have been looking like a race in Mars.

I find the layout quite interesting for racing, specially because the slow hairpin after the two demanding "L" coners at top speed. Pit entry is like this even if I don´t think it was the saffest option they had in the circuit rebuild, but my mission here was to recreate the circuit and not to improve it ( :D ). And as you will notice, the circuit is in a kind of mini valley, so half of the circuit is on a long downhill and the other side is in a short but really pronunciated uphill. As always I did my best trying to be accurated.

*** ALL THE LAYOUTS INCLUDED IN THE NEW ZIP. THE WRONG HILL IS GONE ASWELL!.

Now, I hope you enjoy and post your comments. :bg: Thanks!

Very good but i don't like the green hill in the middle of the track. It doesn't fit in. 9.5/10 :bg:
Look to the left ----------------> that's to the right, mate :(

Yeah it really doesn´t fit the circuit, but the hill is still in there... if you check the circuit at google maps you will notice it easily. I have seen some pictures with more grass around the circuit, possibly in winter or spring, but I am representing the circuit in summer, in his driest version.

Thanks for the comments! :bg:

Thank you Black Rebel for this masterpiece from Argentina! :bg: BTW is there any chance that some other tracks could be made outside South America, maybe some old classics? A track I miss so much is Shah Alam, unfortunately it's been demolished for more than 10 years, but would be fun to have that back. Or the current Charade circuit, a good challenge would that be for you with its elevations.

Hey Man, Congrats!

The Carretera circuits has as characteristics all its simplicity. And you made that so good. Nothing more has to be done! You did it as it would have to be! Congrats again!

Great idea to create this and the realisation too (especially the dirt around is). :bg: But I'm afraid, that you're wrong with the ''hill''. I think, that the thing visible on google maps is a temporal marsh (one side reminds me water) and on regular air photos (like attached) I don't see a hill too, I would say, that it's a shallow hole. And btw the retention of water in the spot would explain the more resisting green in that area during dry time. But maybe it's really hill, have you a better photo?

Hey, now I realized this... I possibly payed too much attention to google maps and not to this kind of aerial pictures. OK, as I have to work still on the rest of layouts, I will try to improve it and fit a bit more the real thing.

Thanks!

Brilliant track Rebel. You cease to amaze me. I love the layout and detail of this one.
