[mic] [stu] Boatswain

Gravel, tarmac, snow. Whatever the surface, you'll find it here.

[mic] [stu] Boatswain

Post by nielske »

The ferry's gone. So you can race all over the ramp, if you like. There's a hole in the wall to let you down. Careful though, it's by no means easy to drive here. You can compete against one other guy. More cars and chaos will ensue. The AI line, as you might understand, is imperfect. But you won't be able to race 10 laps without any mistakes, either. So it's okay.

I tried some 'new' things here. Things I haven't seen much, before. Like high walls. I used them in my track 'LA River' back in 2007, but they were more like steps then. Now I went for a proper tall wall, and it worked out surprisingly well.

Another thing I haven't seen before (but you know, I've been gone) is the two storey houses.

Below's my draft. I thought it was ambitious, but it actually turned out to be possible. I love it when that happens.

Hope you like this little track. I certainly enjoyed making it.

(anyone want to guess how you pronounce the name?)

Ouh man!

This track takes the creative positioning of standard objects - especially walls - to a whole new level.
Your great concrete walls are so smooth and your multi-level houses fit perfectly.

I wouldn't even be surprised if you came up with a decent ferry made of boats, lights, whatever.

So, on the whole, this mini track is a real beauty but the way you "misuse" the objects for other purposes wows me even more.

Yup, 'bosun'
Don't know any other words in the English language with such an idiosyncratic pronunciation

Except English town and county names of course ;)

Thank you for your comments!
