[cir] Drifter's Paradise

Post by Hint »

I made this using SnakeDitor, the GeneRally Track Editor, and GRHMEdit. This is my third track ever released.
My previous tracks weren't made for drifting so I made this.
Take a car that slides and make the most skidmarks you can here!
The hmap goes high up and down and the pit road is kinda hilly.
EDIT: The hills are edited/gone

Not bad, but IMHO the hill at the bottom right looks ugly. :( So this track looks not very good. :|

when using the hmap editor, dont use the square tool, use one of the circular ones with the blending, also use a low pressure, not 10 which i think is default, but 2 or 3, then keep adjusting bit by bit rather than trying to do it instantly.

i would say the roughness of the hmap is its main issue, otherwise, start playing with objects more and try adding some dithering, such as here to blend the sand areas into the grass areas

I added the hills because without them, there was a huge drop there which made you go over those walls, but I'll try and see if I can remove the hills but prevent that problem with the drop.

If that was your problem, you could have used invisible walls :geek:
Yeah, the hill needs to be smoothened, and maybe the name isn't very original :misch:
