[cir] Fionn Gorm

Post by Trigger Happy »

:newtrk:

Fionn Gorm Circuit is small club circuit in northern Scotland built on hills forming shore of two lochs, which causes, that the track is accessible only via water-transport, both for equipment and persons. Thanks to northern location and special character of local preserved nature, the track was not strongly developed and stays operational just for short period of year. The track is famous by races in high pace in fast long turns with very few easy overtaking opportunities. Victory at Fionn Gorm Circuit is appreciated as great proof of champion's killer-instinct and bravery. [/fiction] :liar:

Hi, guys.

This track is pretty simple, but I hope, that you'll enjoy it like me right now, because I simply needed a track like this - I picked up a long-lonesome layout and made this in few last days as a kind of therapy, because for my taste too much circuits, which I remember from close past, have big sand/tarmac run-offs, lot of walls, big stands and other modern equipment everywhere. Here on this track you can breathe a bit of open air, if you'll need or wish. :D It's my try of something like Scottish Highland landscape in the middle of nowhere, loosely related to tracks like classical Tizio's Silver Coast. :)

BTW technical note: on the 4:3 displays it has a bit classical (not fully zoomed) PoV. I couldn't zoom more, if I wanted to keep both limits 4:3 and 16:10 working well.

Have fun!

Maybe you're right, I tried to add there one more pine or something other, but it never looked better.

And thanks for feedback about driving impressions, zgr. :goodvibes:

As I told you, this is simple but awesome :D. I loved layout and driving style at the first moment :bg:.
I have feeling that you actually think about placing every single object (which might not be true :D).
It really reminds of Scotland :). (but you usually have good descriptions for everything)

Well, I usually launch the game after placing 1-3 objects on map to check, if makes impression (both view and playing) as planned and then tune them, if necessary. :sweatdrop: Fortunately on this track it wasn't slowing me down as much as usually. :D
