Gravel, tarmac, snow. Whatever the surface, you'll find it here.

[ral] Rallye Canada - preview

Post by Mad Dan »

Hi all rallye lovers :D (are there any?)

this is just small preview of my next stage rallye, Rallye Canada. Made for request from poland (GRSL WRC), I was asked to make just four stages but I liked making of them so much so I´ll finish it as big as Bohemia is ;).

This stage will be stage n.6 :shhh:

hope you´ll like it :rally:

Full rally = 14 stages? All rallies in GR seem that long..

not all GR rallies have 14 stages....my Bohemia 13, Deutchland 14, Acropolis 6, Aras river 10....but for example Sweden which now takes place has "just" 11 stages (but many of them are raced twice), I don´t know why are you dissapointed :D I know that they can´t be that long

I do like it :wow: Just that this would be representative more or B-C ( :D ) because there is some mud in snow... In the northen provinces (such as Quebec), more snow will be more appropriate :bg: Even though, some dirt can be seen on the sides of the roads since those stupid trucks push the sand they putted on the road 2 hours before on my terrain... :rage: Anyways... Good Job! :rally:

@Lukeno1 well try this stage with cars that I´ve used and tell me :P I´m sure that you won´t be 2 seconds faster, now it´s like you compare apple with pear

I just raced on it with a real car (not the bobsleigth which I last used) and I found that ice was maybe not the one best thing to have when you're racing... Yeah, it looks cool and defines the road better than just snow but think about it: Does a real rally is really fully on ice? Indeed not... I suggest you to put some mud and then some snow and THEN add some ice dithering... It will have the same effects on the track while looking as good and even better than just ice :bg:

Large sections of the Swedish rally and probably the Monte Carlo rally are ice only, and remember, this is only one stage... ;)

Well, neither mud is realistic in a real snow rally. It's kinda hard to make realistic rally road because there's only one snow and ice.

I remember some person mixed snow & ice & white line colors to winter textures. ;) (hint-hint)

BTW Be sure, guys, that the whole rally will offer more terrains as the weather can change little bit during the weekend and the stages are held in slightly different locations. :)
