[cir] DW Park

Post by Cristiano Bohessef »

Hi guys,

Time for a new track :bsmile: There's a year or more I started working on this, but only now motivation for trackmaking came back.

Have fun and leave a comment :bg:

The track looks great. I like shikane a lot.
Behind pit stop can be more detailed.
Pit entering is to perpendicular.

very nice looking track (haven't tested), but a nice alternative sort of layout, i really like the pitlane :bg:

only negative in my eyes are the tarmac areas inside the two corners at the chicane, which are unnecessary and don't look so nice imo :2c:

I could live without the top middle lake, it's simply just a water. If there would be some stuff like the wonderful infield in bottom-left, I would be much happier. :)

4,85/5 :bg:

Keep them coming, Cristiano! :rocks:

I really like this circuit a lot. I find it quite challenging to drive on and it has a superb AI line to go with it. :)

I could point out a few small things such as I felt like the track is not zoomed in enough and that overall it is quite a thin circuit for racing. If the circuit was wider though, I think a bit of this challenge and interesting racing line would be gone.

Also strangely enough the one part of the circuit that doesn't have any give (the armco on the start/finish straight) is where I personally think that there should be at least a kerb but that's nothing critical, probably something I should get used to :)

Aside the few things I pointed out, I really enjoy this circuit and I think it has a great feeling as a GR circuit. :)

This is a very good track, nice flow of driving, I like the "sharpened" turn with the yellow markings as well as the surrounding, e.g. the little neighborhood street on the top. I am not a fan of haybales on the track because they attract me like a magnet and I get stuck

Thanks all for comments, I'm glad you like it :bsmile:

I think most of the things you say are about personal taste, because many issues you pointed I intended to make like that :shy: but of course it's hard to please everyone

More comments? :)

Good track for slower, more nimble cars like smaller open-wheel racers or racing karts. No real complaints but personally, not a fan of the infield lakes.

I like the look of the track. My only concern is that the pit lane could be used as a shorter way around the circuit. If it had a small chicane either going in or out, it would work better. But it is pretty good. 8 bananas out of 10.

I was pretty sure someone would mention the pit lane, but I made like that because I don't really worry about it, it's your decision if you want to cut or not :sweatdrop: The only difference it will make is that strategies with more stops should work better, as time losses aren't so big by pitting :bg: Thanks for comment
