[cir] Abandon2011

Gravel, tarmac, snow. Whatever the surface, you'll find it here.

[cir] Abandon2011

Post by TuomoH »

Today it's been exactly 9 years since I released my first track, THRing. To celebrate that here's my latest offering, Abandon2011, which is a remake of AbandonRing (2004) which itself is a remake of THRing. In a way this is an evolution track - the racing fans have cleaned up the track a bit and some have even moved to the area but the track still isn't officially maintained. On the other hand, it's not purely an evolution track - the hmap has been steepened and the lmap is totally new, so in a way it's just a new interpretation on the old theme. The AI has been designed for Formula.

Enjoy and feel free to comment. :cool2:

Maybe I'd rather prefer the lmap done by opposite way (grass invading into tarmac, not tarmac into grass), but anyway I enjoy that track a lot. :bg:

Thanks, mates. :) Ivo, that's a fair point about the tarmac but maybe the original trackmakers went wild with the tarmac and now it actually is grass invading into tarmac. :misch:

Any more comments?

Although a good copy is always better than a bad original I would say better use your creativity for something completely new / never seen before / an awesome firework of freakin' genius / a deeply inspiring beauty
So next time I want you to shoot us out of our sofas!

One can't just click inspiration on so if I just waited for inspiration, there wouldn't be a release to celebrate my 9 years in the community at all. ;)

But thanks for your faith in me. :)
