[ral] Square Of Fury

Post by Exkakx »

This is "Square of Fury", my very second track! I actually used GIMP for this one, not the track editor :D I hope you like it!

Looks not too bad, but please make a gap between the [ral] tag and your track's name ;)

That's really nice track! The layout on first view isn't anything special, but the surface mix of mud and tarmac and stones in path create lot of fun. The objects unfortunately don't create any more complex landscape (for example the small lake could continue to the bottom-right corner with some nice nature on banks), but it's enough to be OK, IMHO. There are just few small gaps in the walls (top-right and in front of most right stand), make yourself sure next time, that the pieces of walls are slightly overlapping each others' ends in TE. :)

Also the lmap looks nice, good job. :bg:

It's not a complex track, but you weren't trying to play that angle, so I hold nothing against you for doing that.

My only real complaint is that I would've preferred fences over concrete walls.

IMO the concrete walls look okay. But I think you should raise the 'Water level' (track properties) to make the lake not to be at so 'deep'.

Also, remove the white lines bordering the track and make the mud surface wider by a few pixels, so the track would look nicer as there would be only mud/texture between the walls, not white lines or grass ;)

Please move the last pit closer to the track, it's a bit too far away from the track :D
