It's a sticky, not an announcement. Also, you should know the rules about bumping threads... PMing Ivo, Herbal or TuomoH would've been the way to go.

In case like this (same e.g. uploading handbook etc) a topic is usually made sticky precisely because there are not expected any fresh responses, which would keep the topic regularly in top of index, so the important information brought by the topic would no longer be noticed by people.

And of course, this topic isn't outdated, ToY/PoY 2012 haven't started. :)
