Hey everyone
This is a track I made last year (May or June, I think). I updated it last week because I was finally able to complete it according to my plans. Before, the hedges were either grass or stacks of bushes. Because I went for a very minimalist, low-tech, plain-colored, (boring) design, the hedges ended up fitting a lot better.
It's fun to race on with three or four cars. I (unintentionally) did a 110 lap race earlier this week. I'd forgotten to set the lap counter to a more sane number, but I ended up doing the whole race anyway.
Tell me what you think. Hope you like the "trees" in the middle
Happy racing!

Re: [stu] Cascade
This is a really bad way, how to use invisible walls imho.
Otherwise nice experiment like the other you've done lately. I wonder if it will lead to some more ambitious track later?

Thanks for the comment
I put those walls there because you can sometimes get stuck on the wrong side of the "tree" if you get a push from the AI / give the AI a push. I've also never once hit any of them when racing, so I don't really see any downsides. What difficulties or problems did you experience?
As for future experiments; who knows. I've been trying different techniques (on and off) over the past year and a half (although I didn't even touch GR for a year until recently), so it'll probably come together in one big project at some point.
But then, I do prefer really small world sizes, so it may not

Re: [stu] Cascade
Well, after few laps I wanted to spice the layout a bit by doing few zig-zag drifts and loops between the trees and guess, what happened, those were completely unexpected.
If invisible walls, then at least in combination with a visible barrier or lmap (like on Tuomo's Dogville) to tell ''do not drive here'' or just cones, please.

Re: [stu] Cascade
Nice and very interesting experiment with the trees and the walls, plain tracks are usually not my cup of tea, but this one is not bad
Re: [stu] Cascade
Gimmicky "track". It looks like a bizarre skatepark. Do not want.
"As you may have noticed, I've done this properly."

Camros: "Bizarre skatepark" and "I don't like it" -- okay, fair enough. But "gimmicky"? That one hurt But not entirely unfounded, I guess.
Ivo: Feel free to remove them, if you prefer
Dukla: Thanks! I'll make the next one more interesting looking.
