...featuring my brand new favorite object:

the hedge!
overview

No, I didn't die/vanish/forget about you/give up/emigrate (well, in reality I did, but it's only an hour away from my old home). But I do realize it's been 14 months since I made a track. To be honest, the new hedge object is the only reason I made this track. I also happened to have some free time.

For more info, read the 'read me' file (nobody ever does that, do they).

Here are some screenshots (couldn't get the zoom to work too well in the new version), and of course the track. Let me know what you think!

Happy racing! :cflag:

(also let me know your best time with a Formula. Mine's 8.50, but I modified the track a little, and wasn't able to beat 8.51 s)

:iagree:

Great hmap, cute appearance. :) Maybe bit less hedges would be better inside layout (e.g. stripe behind pits). Just to break the monotony. :2c:

Well, maybe I did get a little excited :D I actually removed some hedges, before the release.

Any good lap times? II got 8.49s yesterday. Make sure you stay on the inside when going through the kink before the last hairpin, because the bump is flatter there.

Wow, what a lovely track! :bg: The only odd and eye-catching thing is that the gate just "ends" at the hedges and that house.

 Hang me up by my underwear! I nearly forgot to comment on this track! So clean, so neat, so GR-ish, so nielske-ish :D ! Love it! What an awesome track for some kart races! Some textures might improve the road surface a bit though, but it's okay like this. As always, great, not boring at all hmap! Stylish scenery and good use of space and objects! The Ai is devilish on these small worldsizes :scared: ! Love the screenies you've posted! :bg: Great work!

P.S.: Funny readme! "It's an ego boost!"

Glad you enjoyed it! :)

Now that you mention it, it does look like karts would work well here. What karts were you using, by the way? I'd like to give them a try.

I use to race with Strava's kart, and karts made by Ms. Those are the best. :bg:
