[cir] [stc] Brushless

Post by Glen »

So! I'm here with a new Original Generally spirit track (at least I hope). He's name is Bruschless!!!
It's a permanent little circuit, in a city! Localised betwenn the swimming pool and the business center.
AI line is very optimized, AI pit line too. Works well with every Original vehicule.
Works with a widescreen too.
The parking is empty because i'm not good at drawing Lmap Objects. DONE

Personally, I would imagine a "back to the roots" GR tracks more rudimentary. :P Apart from that, though, the scenery is nicely done, despite some missing details (like the lack of cars at the parking lot) and your 'mediocre' Lmap drwing skills. not worth mentioning it :P
I also like the simple layout, as you have smoothly realized it. :bg:

4,7/5 :star:

BTW, is that shower taking fellow around the pool or something? Just guessing.

Where is the Lmap badly done?

I don't know, make a red circle around the guy. (Too late)

This is for you Puttz! You are the first that says the exact position!!
PS: the guy is taking a shower under a traffic sign...

For me "back to the roots" for a Generally track means :

- Short
- No track dithering
- Pits on the trackside
- FUN!!!

Someone else agree?

I would like to congratulate to you for this great little circuit! Looks good and drives well! :bg: Though, I would like the track more if it would have kerbs. I really like your clean style, reminds me of Masa's. Also, thanks for the small game, it was a bit too easy though! :D

This is a small contradiction. You say you are not good at making Lmap objects, but for just a quick test you try to mimic a real GR car, while a lot of members who are considered to be good at it don't even try to mock the real ones. :D I'm kinda amazed about how good those drawings came out. They look really good! They only need their shadows, as a lot of members use to draw that way. But this one actually fits your style I think.

Happy than you like it, I don´t want kerbs to keep it clean and the keep the 2 main colors (blue and green), a thrid color (red, yellow or black) would have destroy the atmosphere.
Garbre wrote:They look really good! They only need their shadows
The Lmap is too small to make the car looking good. It´s was easy to do the cars:

1- choose simple cars (original cars, I tested with TH DTM cars, worked well also)
2- changing track file : place the Start positions in the parking (that´s why I did 6 cars) And export land bmp file
3- creat 6 human players with right colors : (easy way is to set everything red or yellow and to recolor in photoshop)
-White, green and brown are OK (white line, grass, mud)
-Yellow and red are perfect (yellow line and kerb)
-Black is difficult (oil, allready used for the tires
-Snow and ice will be used for the windows
4- Take a screenshot in start position with F12 (don´t use to high screen resolution, be as close as possible to 512*512)
5- Open the screenshot and the land file in GIMP or Photoshop
6- select the parking (in my case), copy the selection
7- past it in the land file /!\ be carefull with the colors
8- match the screenshot to the land parking (resize, trapezoid transformation)
9- with the pen, redraw the parts than arent perfect
10- Save, inport in TE, replace start positions, test, and be disappointed... (my case)
the only good thing is : the perspective is perfect.

Yes, but you can´t do a track flatter than this one (except pool and building adjustement).

I agree, the lmap cars are pretty OK, just to fix wheels, to add shadow, head/rear lights or grill, eventually turn some in combi or sedan for more natural look. But it's nothing I'd really need to enjoy this great track. :cool2: Only the loading, I've seen a lot monumental WS255 street tracks, but this beats even those in loading time.

Looking good. :bg: Also you may consider to make there less slots but wider on the parking. Because as you can see, there's not much room on sides to open the doors. :shhh:

I like you style how you do lmap cars. It looks great! and I agree with Ivo. Parking slots make more wider.

Wait a second.

Ah! ok, yep! I was surpised to when I wasn´t able the 2 first seconds to find out which one was the real car! :)

I´m happy than you like it. I tried to draw a Safety car inside the First corner (in the driveable shortcut) but it wasn´t as good as the cars in the parking.
