Yay! :newtrk: Been waiting for a while for your next work, I'm a big fan of your tracks. Always enjoy your Hmaps, and this looks like another good one :bg: Time to add another to the collection :D

GREAT! YOU'RE BACK!

The LMap looks amazing, well, actually it's still really simple. It looks better than before though. From what i can see, since i haven't played the track yet, but i will in a minute.

Edit: that wasn't really a minute, but i've played it. Cool! I like the bankings, but what i don't like is the kerbs. They don't really look well, since there's grass inbetween them. Maybe you should fix that.

I know it´s difficult, but maybe You should try to shrink the circuit when it´s banked because here you are in this situation :

Wlmap = width of the track in the Lmap file
Wreal = width of the track in game
alpha = banking of the track

Wreal = Wlmap / cos(alpha)

For example, if the track is 45° banked, it will be 1,9 times wider than on the flat part.
for a good ration, you should have (for example) 40px wide track on flat, and be 40*cos(45)=21px wide in banked parts

I´ll make a test track, I have an idea how to do it.

anyway, nice achievement

:) good friends...Glen ...if you want it wouldn't be so hard to realize...but I think it would be imperceptible difference ...
if you look at an oval circuit there is the same problem..
WouterVL...i post an italian kerb ...but only for you here ther'is the classic kerb red and white

Thanks! It looks a lot better IMO. I think it also fits the track better, and looks more like your other tracks.

I see the difference :cool2:

My easy way, with snake editor would be:
Make a layout, 3 kinds of road: flat, banked, flat to banked
the "flat to banked2 parts should be straight.
Export Hmap, and first Lmap.
Reduce Track width (to match the turns)
Export second Lmap.
Open the two Lmap´s in photoshop or Something else.
Keep the Banked and flat parts, delete the "flat to banked" parts
Connect all the "flat" and "banked" parts with trapezium.
Save it in one Lmap file, join it to the Hmap

It should works :) I´ll try

I think I know what glen said.

however, is only true if you want to get a basin of the same actual width of the road
I do not think this is a mistake ...
in reality held the same relative width

see monza

but the reasoning is still right
