This track layout is from the C64 version of Pit Stop II.
I made a version of it for GPL a long time ago.
And later made a GR version.
I am currently converting it to rFactor and that inspired me to make a new version of it for GR.

This one is a larger world size and has a more realistic track width.
I think this captures the fast-slow-fast rhythm of the GPL/rF tracks better.

Simply the best, in all kind of meaning. No wonder Strava, that you're a wizard, because it's simply magic what you can do with GR... :wiz:

I do find it interesting that over 80% of the ppl that looked at this thread and the pics decided not to download the track.

Track layout may LOOK simple, but TRY racing the AI on this one! :nod:

It looks just awesome as almost any of your track. But to be fair you should make screen with default palette.

Layout is nice and racing itself is good, but scenery.. It just looks dull. I think you could sure add something else than just green field there.

It's a recreation of a track that was in a game, that's why ;)

Actually, the GPL track has a wall of trees all the way around on both sides of the track.
But, if I had done this track that way the only good driving view would have been straight down :P

IMHO many GR tracks have WAY too much stuff. They look crowded and busy.
The real world has lots of big open spaces.
And many race tracks are built in areas that have been cleared of trees.

Anyway, for this track, I wanted three distinct areas.
At the bottom I think there are enough buildings and stuff to look like a pit & spectator area.
Then some open grass before getting to the dense wooded area at the top.
Try to imagine it from a drivers POV.

@buka - good point. I have been using that palette for so long I think of it as the default.

Here's the GPL/rFactor track.
The trees are fairly far away ( about 55 meters ) most of the way around, but come very close to the track thru the esses at the top.
