Re: [cir] New York Circuit (Gran Turismo)
I've never been played in GT, so I can't say about layout.
But in other things I can. And I haven't good 'news'.
Track is booring! If there is so much place, you could draw in paint cars, ads and ohher things. And more people, too
The rest is OK, I think. Maybe you could draw holes in road (I know that USA have quite good roads, but it would look better) or sth.
Otherwise is quite nice, but it really would be better.

its good, but not great. There needs to be more variety in the objects used, combining booths AND houses with office blocks short, skinny and tall.
Also isnt it based around real new york street layouts, perhaps you could have copied that if it was the case, go into street view on all the side streets etc
You've done a good job however, its just all a bit grey and blue

I make BBA's words mine (do any native english speaker actually says this? i just translated a thing we say to mean "I agree with (Him/Insert Name)")
You could have done Forza 3 new york, with the chicanes, its almost like the GT4 track, but its only around the times square then straight to the park.

It's a little hard to see where the track goes sometimes, but that is just due to the nature of the track. Otherwise, pretty good recration as far as the layout goes.

Nice to see someone else doing sth from GT!
I like the track. However as the others mentioned alrady, you could have
alternated a bit more with the objects.
Also some more dittering and Lmap cars etc would have been nice.

Re: [cir] New York Circuit (Gran Turismo)
Great idea, but it is a pity that GR's limits don't help this one here.
I like it, but I think the layout is quite confusing, even if you know the track from each bit - because of so many streets and avenues that look alike, the possibility to hit a wall thinking it's a corner is large. I know the kerbs might help a little, but even with that it is confusing. I believe this track would look better if it was whole made with LMAP buildings, instead of GR's office blocks.
I give .
EDIT: I agree with Scholl's comment. LMAP cars would be a big help to see the layout, and it gives the impression that the streets aren't deserted while the race goes on.

Re: [cir] New York Circuit (Gran Turismo)
As puttz and Thunderstrucker already have pointed out, the layout is misleading at first appearance which is naturally a minus of the top-down view. Anyway, some challenge offered by the nature of this track does not hurt, does it? With that said, one can get use to it by being guided by the barriers.
Plus, I second Scholl's and BBA's tips of enhancing it atmosphere-wise.

Re: [cir] New York Circuit (Gran Turismo)
There is a similar track from Forza 2 and 3. Just saying...
Re: [cir] New York Circuit (Gran Turismo)
The layout looks very accurate, well what I remember about the track in GT4.
I agree with all said before, and like to add that the track could be some pixels wider, now
some parts look really narrow, only little more than width of one car.
A rather easy thing you could do, please include another version of the track where you have
painted the white road markings, those on the track, by the other tarmac colour.
Distinguishing the track from the surroundings would be much easier if you did that.
