please give me any tips on track making, I am a beginner so don't be too harsh
,also I tried editing the bitmaps of my tracks on ms paint but it always deletes the original track so it just turns into a snow track instead of a dirt or tarmac track, does anyone else have this issue?

What version of paint are you using? If you are using the Windows 7 or above version, it has issues with not saving the palette correctly. Look up Paint XP and install that, it will give you the old version of Paint that will work correctly for working with GR landmaps.
