Original Track Update Project 2010

Gravel, tarmac, snow. Whatever the surface, you'll find it here.

Very interesting reply when someone asks "Is any change of pit position forbidden? Or are some little movements allowed????" :P

I wouldn't mind trying Tachren
Hannu, who art in Finland, Räbinä be thy name. Sim racers come, races are won, at Agari, as at Xupong. Give us this day our version 1.06, and forgive us all our impatience, as we race those who challenge against us. Lead us not into boredom, but deliver us from work. For thine is the GeneRally, and the AI, and the race cars. Amen!

I have an important question:
is it allowed to change the tracks width (extreme)?

2.1 Tracks must remain recognizable as the original track.
2.2 No big changes in layout.
Change of width is not big change in layout and it will not decrease recognizability. ;)

Ok, I just wanted to be sure, and not build a too narrow track which I'd have to rework later :shake: :D
might I also create water in Pargy?

Why not?

Here you go: Yes it is.

Yeah.. :D I thought it would be clear that I mean the latter one by saying only that, but you're right, it was a vague answer :P

But where are your tracks, guys? 2 weeks have already passed and no releases :shake:

I'll book Finland :misch:

I've remade layout of France in snakeditor, made it a tad wider. Soon I'll be making surroindings and other details.

As I'm an AWFUL trackmaker but some people say that I'm good at track designing (specially mx and sx tracks for Mx vs Atv Unleashed), I want to suggest you some possible changes...

Algeria
Separated pit, better run-off areas (little bit of grass and tarmac), penultimate CP (14th) disappears so the track is shorter and has a paddock.
Australia
Bigger WS so it has a couple of new streets.
Belgium
Bigger WS so it has a full off-road track on the bottom linked to the tarmac circuit.
Brazil
Bigger WS so the parking site is bigger and it has new sections.
France
· The one-way road becomes a highway and there's a town in the infield.
· New rallycross section in the infield.
Germany
The bowl becomes just one big banked turn, new chicane near the chicane so hairpin is safer/easier, stadium-feeling with lots of grandstands.
Indonesia
Better run-offs, safer exit of the pit lane, new grandstands, optional shorter version.
Japan
Bigger WS so it has new sections, separated pit, new grandstands.
Sweden
Almost abandoned track with awful tarmac conditions (sorry Swedes ;) ).
Switzerland
Bigger WS so it has a new section on the right side with the typical Alpine feeling (hairpins, a little tunnel and a little bit of ice/snow on the road).
USA
Bigger WS so it has an outer optional road course, separated pit.

Agari
Abandoned track for a decade or so, desert has eaten the track and now it just holds off-road races on the dunes.
Bytes
Same as Japan.
Gilwan
Separated pit, narrower road so turns are tighter.
Gurveln
· Track was transformed into a supermoto track, with the upper road being now the dirt section.
· Separated pit, both grass and sand run-off areas, upper zone extended/modified.
Kutford
New grandstands, separated pit, incredibly steep bankings.
Wigeno
Bigger WS so it has new sections (lower part), new paddock, rallycross version.

Banking in Kutford would be something like an heresy IMO.
I also disagree about adding new sections to tracks :/

I may think of it. It would solve the pits problem. I MAY change some of the infield into small village too.

HAHAHAHAHAHA :roflmao:
I knew I wasn't crazy  when thinking about the 2 possible updates for the French representative.
Btw, "Kutford stadium" could also be a possible solution but it won't be very original IMO.

I'd like to be the first to post a picture. Here's a pic of my version of Tachren, I've tried to keep to the original theme as much as I can.

What are the rules on track upload?

Just awesome, Gibernau_fan
It's still Tachren, it still has the classic feeling but it's like 4x better.
