Joint Effort Amateur Track Project

Well, That'll be the new JEA thread. Let's roll out with the new JEA 11 but first let me remember the rules:
The Rules
1. You should not have won a ToM. 1st 2nd or 3rd.
2. The first one who books starts, and after that somebody next to that square has to make his.
3. When you book a square, post the message so that I can understand what you mean.
4. If a JEA participant receives a ToM podium during a project, but before their part is completed, they may still do that part but will not be allowed in future projects. Any JE or JEA track does not count against any participant.

Rules and tips for the track:
5. Think about how the track 'goes'. Don't just make a few curves that make it (almost) impossible to continue with the track in a normal way.
6. Make your square as beautiful as possible, it's just a little square, but you can do so much with it, don't be afraid to spend more than 30 minutes. (less is OK too of course, it just has to look nice)
7. Don't change the theme, you can make something different on your square, but don't start to make a square without snow on a snow track...
8. If you book a square in JointEffortAmateurs, you thereby agree to make your square in time, (means that you don't hold it up for ages) but use time and effort 9. with it to make it as good as possible.
10. If it is your turn to make a square, and you have not posted it within 7 days, your square will be given to someone else.
11. Every square cannot include a piece of the track, so there needs to be some scenery only squares. They are as important as the track squares.
12. The track doesn't have to use all the space of your square or always go trough the middle of it. It can just cut the corner or one side of it. Try to imagine the whole map without the squares. Otherwise the track will end up "square-ish".

Remember: Details, scenery and eye candy make the track alive. Use your creativity as much as you can, every square is like your own signature to the track. It also shows your skills to everyone. Of course, never forget the track flow and driveability.

So! I'll book bottom-right and here goes the booking section for JEA 11:

Code: Select all

Top-Left : Christiano Bohessef
Top-Right : Resir014

Bottom-Left : Buka
Bottom-Right : The Great Falcon

Final Touches : Empty
(Don't forget, only 4 squares...)

Select the inner part of the turn, make a path and put it's dots on between the tarmac and the inner grass of the curve. You don't need to make it really precise but off course, the best you'll do it, the best it'll look... Then strike the path with a colour (I prefer red / yellow before putting final colour) and strike back with the other colour while bringing sure that the line style is set to the most little spacing thing... I stroke the kerb here with 10 px width... When you have this done, change the colour to the one that you want (in this case white and light tarmac) then fill the inner part with another colour (here snow and ice respectively).

Most of all: Don't forget that paths are something really amazing and practice on plain tracks if you'r not sure. Keep trying and don't be afraid of clicking buttons and thing; It cannot make you computer explose, I promise :yummy:

If two posts go in row, but in big time gap (at least 8-12 hours), a ''double post'' is not a problem.

What a noob I am! :headbang: Poor, IMHO, but it's probably the best I can make with my current skills. So we need good final toucher.

Cristiano should go next I suppose.

Your square is just so awesome buka and the comnination with mine and yours is great :bg: I thought that maybe we could make a derogation to the rules and accept ToMers as FTers... So this way Mr Hakulin could have his go at the FTs... What do you think?

Not to mention that accepting ToMers for FTs would increase the overall Track quality while not putting too much pressure on newbies track makers who are starting at track making in the project...

Not good idea, rookies need to try to learn, how to make final touches too....
