I don't know what am I doing wrong, but the Ferrari 643 (1991) in this form is taking 20 Verticles.

The idea is that you have 30 vertices to use what makes 15 vertices per one side. Before launching the editor it's good to plan how to place them (if you don't do it you'll most likely end up with only half of the car modelled and very few vertices left...) and you can do it by putting dots on the picture of car you want to make. Every dot represents single vertex. Every vertex that belongs to the axis (yellow) is equally "distributed" on both sides of the car so it counts as half.

If number of dots you put on the one side of the car doesn't exceed 15 and if they cover every important part of the car, all you need to do in car editor is merely "connect the dots".

Ah, I see... I always plan car designs too but instead of using your 15 vertices on each half, I always separate the design by part (i.e., bumper, hood, side, windows, etc). This will be helpful for my future car making

In my opinion the "kidneys" of M3 should be smaller. Out of that the cars look gorgeous. ^^

If you want to use purple you have to decrease the brightness in CE so that polygons won't be showing colors that follow purple in the palette, which is the case for default brightness settings and cause of that popular glitch.

You can also invert those polies, click the normals button, then uninvert them. You will have purple then

This was the old method of doing things, but it's far more efficient in the new Car Editor to just turn down the Normals Brightness to -100, which has the same effect with the upside of not fouling up any two-sided parts of the car model.
