[cpk] [oth] R-Type FINAL - 101 Ships Project (WIP)

Post by Haruna »

Well, 101 ships is going to be a lot, so I figure I'd post the ships in small groups rather than all-in-one.

table of all of R-TYPE FINAL's ships:
http://www.slateman.net/rtype/rtypefinal/tree/
(click on the ship names to look at them)

Description of each of the ship's capabilities:
  • R-9A "Arrowhead" - Standard R-fighter with lots of tiny refinements over the years. Jack of all trades... master of none. [ROOKIE/BALANCED]
  • R-9F "Andromalius" - Old experimental R-fighter. Very bulky (it's an older fighter after all...), but distinctly known for very neutral handling. Line control is very essential however to fast laps, as momentum is very important for the R-9F. [AMATEUR/TECHNICAL]
  • R-9D "Shooting Star" - Lightweight long range R-fighter. Light frame gives the Shooting Star a distinct power/weight ratio advantage over it's siblings, but is difficult to keep under control since the R-9D's thrusters are rather powerful for it's type. [AMATEUR/HIGH-SPEED]
(Yes, I am still working on the GT's carpack. This is just a side project. A big one, but still.)

I guess working on the GT's carpack was a better idea.

I think that probably has something to do with R-Type being sort of obscure, especially among racing fans such as these. I tried the cars, and think the physics are as excellent and diversified as I've come to expect with you; I can't say much about the models, for one thing because I could barely see them on the tracks I used and for another because I know very little about the source material.

I've never heard about R-Type before this and this might be case with many others too.

Hi xyz!

Seeing as though you're interested in the project, I think I might make some more of these R-fighters for you and I... anyway, you can go ahead and make some more R-9s, just give me credit for the original model(s).

I already made a quick remake of R-9A intended to be R-9A2, A3 and A4 (only changing some colours), and I'm working on R-9AF Morning Glory, hard one :) so, I make some models, giving 100% credit for base ones, and U make physics... Do U want them?

BTW, when the M.G. is done, I'll send you the ones I made, and then you will do physics, OK?

Merged double reply from Mon Aug 30, 2010 6:07 pm:

Trying to make OK versions of R-9AD Escort Time (completed!), R-9AD2 Princedom (now looking like a giant R-13A Cerberus -.-) and R-9AD3 King's Mind (same as above, but more ok-like XD)

You need to give him time to read your message, if it was sent lately. And if he didn't noticed it, it's better to send second one, instead of posting here, on public part of forum.

yes, of course, he is Aussie, so time zone is radically different (I'm Italian :D).
I have time, it was only for telling him that a new base car is done, only needing physics, that's all.
