[cpk] [ser] [ral] IRC 2009 by DXTR

Post by Herbal »

Finally exam times are over for this semester, so I can spend more time to GR then so far. (YAY!) But first, there you go with some cars of Intercontinental Rally Challenge from last year. This pack contains some new models, passing to the size of my touring cars (WTCC, BTCC, STCC, DTC). These new models are: Peugeot 207, Fiat/Abarth Grande Punto, Skoda Fabia, Proton Satria Neo, Mitsubishi Lancer Evo 9 (how much would life be easier if they would use Evo X... :hammer:), and Opel Corsa. As rally cars are not touring cars, these have new physics, but make sure you use sometimes the brakes, they are still heavy! :D

Enjoy! ;)

Personally, that Evo IX looks too much like the Evo X, otherwise, those cars are excellent!

No, I didn't, the first Fiestas in IRC started only in this year, I've done only season 2009... ;)

Duvals 207 S2000 is missing from the Ypres Rally:

I think, that this model is there - between the yellow Fabia and Corsa. ;)

my first idea was :wow:. Well after test I have to say I´m a bit disappointed by physics of cars.....models are great :bg: but those cars are way too slow, and they slide as much as F1 cars.....sorry but for me it´s not perfect and I´ll use for my private racing only Fechna´s 2007 rallycars (or Paw_PL´s kitcars)

just IMHO ;)

I hope that if you´ll make 2010 pack it´ll be better :rally:

I agree with each word in previous post. :iagree:
Personally I prefer smaller cars. IMO Z size up to 2,25 isn't a good way, cars with Z size 1,8 looks much better on track. But placing vertexes is very good, cars looks like real ones, at least in front :). But... These cars are too slow! Ratio of power to mass isn't very good, riding on rally track, even very winding, is becoming... boring. Maybe it's because I don't have any very narrow stages, where this cars might be more suitable. At snowy stages car is slipping all the time; fast and nice riding is almost impossible.
Hope that IRC '10 will be better. I offer my help with physics :).

These cars are front wheel drive cars. Ofcourse they drive slippery on snow! I would say power is right, these cars aren't very fast and are not equipped with a turbo unlike their WRC brothers.

But rally cars of S2000 are 4WD cars, contrary to their bros in WTCC, or not? :flip: I agree, physic is not perfect and hope in update.

S2000 rally cars are front wheel drive cars, like in WTCC.

I didn't think there were any Impreza S2000s? I know there are Group N versions, but...

true, but those Grp N cars do race for the championship. They're too slow to get a decent result, but still..
