The way to read and the meaning
- NIGE : Draw away / Runaway of the inside course boat
- SASHI : Thrust the boat into the inside course
- MAKURI : Drive turn of the outside course boat
- MAKURI-SASHI : Drive turn & Thrust the boat
- TSUKEMAI : Kept down by one to one
Kyotei has technique of peculiar turn way. That's called Monkey turn. Its technique became the mainstream by M.Ueki made a very strong showing at 1993. That's called so because it's similar to horse racing's riding style (Monkey crouch, Monkey seat). But it seems to have been taken in by technique of the windsurfing..
By the way, K400 means the amateur category. (Of course Kyotei is professional sports) But there were no names of the kyotei boat, so it was shown as K400. And Kyotei was changed its name from to BOAT RACE at 2010, but that changed name is not liked to the fans very much. I prefer Kyotei by Chinese character too. Because, It's cool..
