A few of you can probably recall the SDR Formula "Flandre" Scarlet top-level open-wheel race car I released two years ago.

Flandre's back, and she's back with a whole family of single-seat racers besides herself, ranging from the tiny Little Devil to the big bad destroyer of lap records herself.

SDR Little Devil '65
Image
A tiny entry-level formula car with vintage swag that few modern race cars can bother to match. This featherweight runt is great for beginners and for the micro-circuit fanatics, thanks to its quick handling. Be warned, since it is basically a vintage GP car, you'll need care to not overdo the drifting in long races, as it will chew through tires very quickly if you don't respect its surprisingly high power to weight ratio.

Its cylinder head covers are painted in the Scarlet family's signature color... scarlet. It's a touch that's been on every Scarlet Devil Race Works car afterwards to date, but it was the Little Devil who started it all.

Specs:
90 horsepower from a 1.5 liter V-6 atmospheric engine
Power-to-Weight Ratio: 0.36 hp/kg
250 kilograms, 40% on the front axle

Performance Index: 591/Class C
Classification: Vintage Limited-Production Hyper Lightweight, Sub-classes: Vintage Formula 2
SDR Hyper Imp '11
Image
The modern equivalent to the Little Devil of old. Tiny, fast, and agile, the Hyper Imp is the ultimate featherweight single-seat race car on the club racing scene today. Though the Imp's engine is smaller than the Little Devil's, it is more powerful thanks to the sorcery of forced induction. This little racer is also equipped with adjustable wings front and rear, and is kept to an extremely low weight of only 325 kilograms thanks to the use of glass-reinforced plastics. Just like the Little Devil, this car parties hardest when the straights are small and the corners many.

Specs:
120 horsepower from a 0.7 liter straight four twin-turbo engine
Power-to-Weight Ratio: 0.369 hp/kg
325 kilograms, 40% on the front axle
Mid-engine, rear wheel drive
165 / 205 mm wide front/rear racing slick tires
358 kilograms of negative lift @ 200 km/h
Drag Coefficient: 0.60
Lift-to-Weight Ratio: -1.101
Three Sizes: 132.0 L x 60.0 W x 34.0 H inches
80.0 inch wheelbase
Acceleration Rating: 5.7 out of 12
Speed Rating: 4.2 out of 12
Cornering Rating: 10.7 out of 12
Grip Rating: 10.0 out of 12
Performance Index: 808/Class S
Classification: Modern Racing Hyper Lightweight; Sub-classes: Jedi Racing Cars
SDR Formula Scarlet Junior '12
Image
The first professional step on the Formula Scarlet ladder is a bit faster and tuned for medium-sized circuits and ovals. Use of carbon fiber composites has kept the Junior reasonably light despite the great up-scaling compared to its smaller siblings, the Hyper Imp and Little Devil. Unique to this class of the entire Formula Scarlet family is the use of a Wankel rotary engine, based off of the "RENESIS" 13B-MSP engines found in the Mazda RX-8 sports car.

Specs:
250 horsepower from a 1.3 liter two-rotor rotary atmospheric engine
Power-to-Weight Ratio: 0.556 hp/kg
450 kilograms, 47% on the front axle
Mid-engine, rear wheel drive
235 / 265 mm wide front/rear racing slick tires
448 kilograms of negative lift @ 200 km/h
Drag Coefficient: 0.82
Lift-to-Weight Ratio: -0.996
Three Sizes: 172.0 L x 72.5 W x 38.0 H inches
104.0 inch wheelbase
Acceleration Rating: 7.5 out of 12
Speed Rating: 4.9 out of 12
Cornering Rating: 10.8 out of 12
Grip Rating: 10.0 out of 12
Performance Index: 888/Class R
Classification: Modern Racing Hyper Lightweight; Sub-Classes: Formula 3, Star Mazda
SDR Formula Scarlet Senior '11
Image
Now we're playing with fire. The Senior class Formula Scarlet is no goddamn joke; it sports a 3.5 liter V-10 and a highly advanced computational fluid dynamics developed body, complete with a variety of wing and side pod packages for various circuit configurations, plus fat and meaty special-grade racing slicks you won't find in any ordinary tire store. You can't expect any less from the penultimate package for open-wheel on-road racing.

Specs:
712 horsepower from a 3.5 liter V-10 atmospheric engine
Power-to-Weight Ratio: 1.177 hp/kg
605 kilograms, 46% on the front axle
Mid-engine, rear wheel drive
305 / 365 mm wide front/rear prototype racing slick tires
1133 kilograms of negative lift @ 200 km/h

Lift-to-Weight Ratio: -1.873
Three Sizes: 184.0 L x 81.0 W x 36.6 H inches
114.0 inch wheelbase

The final, the ultimate, the absolute master of all things Formula Scarlet. This is the ultimate open-wheeler from Scarlet Devil Race Works, a monstrosity that takes every feature of the Scarlet Senior and turns it up not to eleven, not to twelve, but thirteen. Specs:
1010 horsepower from a 3.5 liter V-10 atmospheric engine

Brilliant cars, Haruna. :bg: Hyper Imp is my favourite among them, although both with Little Devil the model could be bit larger maybe. :-)
