In the pioneering days of auto racing in Europe, Pergusa Motorsport were widely recognized as one of the star teams of the era. Led by former aircraft mechanic Enzo Pergusa, PM's daring drivers would rise to great fame and fortune, winning various motor racing competitions all over Europe, but especially in their home country of Italy. The team would continue to have resounding successes for decades to come.

Pergusa Motorsports were known for hiring drivers who were bold and fearless, unafraid of pushing the limits of either themselves or their machines. However, in the early 90's, the rapidly rising costs of competing in races where technology was being pushed to the absolute limit were not compatible with the aggressive and risky racing strategies the Pergusas attempted. As the team's successes turned into failures, sponsors began turning away, and Pergusa Motorsports finally closed its doors in 1996.

Fast forward to 14 years later. Enter Emma Pergusa, a young, enthusiastic girl who aspires to win the Le Mans 24 Hours race with her own team and car. It's taken her 5 years to get to where she is now, but when you've got aspirations to win one of the world's toughest endurance races, credit has to be due where it's due.

The Pergusa Motorsports EPLM-01 is a next-generation Le Mans Prototype race car, developed to the 2014 Prototype 1 class regulations. It features a 3.7 liter V8, outputting a reasonable 460 horsepower. While only as powerful as current-era Prototype 2 cars, the EPLM meets the minimum weight requirement for non-hybrid cars in the category; a mere 830 kilograms.

As with all Prototype 1 class cars, the EPLM-01 is a high downforce, slick-shod purebred racer. Though 460 horsepower isn't an amazing output, its low weight and high grip make the EPLM-01 quite a grip monster, more so than current-generation prototypes simply due to lower mass. As a result, you have a distinct advantage in the corners, but will have to fight hard to not lose it all on long straights.
