Car of the Month - September/October 2014 - results released

Post by XYY »

Hello everyone  and I'm again a bit late

Here you can nominate cars or carpacks that were posted in September and October 2014 for CoM. Once the nomination period closes at 0:00 GMT on 7th November 2014 the list of all nominated cars and carpacks will be available at CoM homepage.

Note: Please keep in mind that this topic is only for casting nominations. Any discussion should take place in the CoM discussion topic. One nomination is enough for a car or carpack to be electable. Anything else than nominations is likely to be deleted by a moderator to keep everything organised.
When nominating a car or carpack, you have to mention the name of the car/carpack, the author(s) and a link to the thread/post. Please don't edit your nomination posts, because your changes may be overlooked otherwise. Thanks :)

Please make sure you know the rules if you're unsure about anything.

Cheers,
XYY

Post by XYY »

Oh man, I just noticed that I haven't yet started CoM Voting, so I do it now. Why has no one informed me? Did anyone notice at all? :|

It's time to start September/October voting!

Take a look at the nominees list and select your five favourite cars/carpacks from there!

Please vote via PM to me. You'll have time until 30th November 2014.

We're happy with any vote, and the more votes we'll recieve, the better it will be. :) If you're unsure about anything, take a look at the rules or post in the CoM discussion topic.

Cheers,
XYY

My experience has shown that in these cases many people don't vote for 5 cars. Of course you can do it (= are allowed to), but you don't have to.
I think the actual problem is that very few cars are released these days. But at this point a rule change is pretty senseless, if you ask me. If it doesn't get better with the release of cars, I can still think about it ;)

As I managed to not motivate for voting for a second time :worried: , I'll keep the voting period open for the next two days. So if anyone wants to send me a vote (so far I've got only six votes from marinator, Daniel Rosenberger, Np2003, Buka, DuklaLiberec and Herbal).

The new deadline is the 2nd December 2014! :)

Sorry again for the massive delay, at the moment I can't seem to deliver my stuff in a reliable fashion.. :worried:
At least I managed to finally put the results up - at least sort of. As the :com: page seems to be down atm, I made the zip folder available here for now. As soon as it's back up, you should be able to find the votes there. I'll try to upload the zip folder there as soon as possible. :)
1. TUDOR USCC GT LeMans Class by puttz- Forum thread
2. ETCC 2014 by Herbal - Forum thread
2. Porsche Supercup 2014 by Herbal - Forum thread

Detailed results

In a month with only five nominated cars, puttz takes the victory. Congratulations! Herbal gets the places 2 - 5. ;)
Thanks to eight voters (But we had more in the past few votings... :shhh: )!

Edit: The results are available as usual on the CoM Homepage now. :bg:

Woah, what?! :eyes: That one was certainly not expected, I thought those were some of my worst cars to date. Thanks, guys, I'm glad people enjoyed those. It took me a while to put them together but I wasn't too pleased with the end results. I thought for sure one of Herbal's packs would win. Congrats on the 2-5, though :D

Hate to sound insulting, but considering how especially badly you screwed up the Z4 GTEs, it is by far your worst car pack in my opinion.

Nah, I totally have to agree with you there, which is why I'm so surprised that I won. I kind of wanted to fix those, but I was kind of lazy and just wanted to get the carpack out since I'd had it sitting around for a while and was a little tired of working on it. I might fix it up sometime in the future so that the Z4s don't look so crappy.
