[tou] GRM - HKS CT230R (Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VIII)

Post by Haruna »

The HKS CT230R is developed with only two real purposes: to pwn laptimes, and to show how awesome HKS are.

Based off of the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VIII, this is currently the only R3 class car from a tuning company. Under the bonnet of the CT230R is an in-house modified version of Mitsubishi's 2.0 litre inline-4, making 637 newton-metres of torque and weighing at only 1070 kilograms, giving this car an astonishing torque-to-weight ratio. However, in contrast with other R3 class cars, the CT230R uses DOT-legal competition tyres (they ARE street legal, but why you'd want to use them on public roads is beyond me) rather than full-on racing slicks, giving it only marginally more grip than most of the pure racing breathren. In any case, the CT230R from HKS is a pretty powerful contender on virually any racing circuit. Give it a try!

Specifications:
Performance Index: R3-1100
Torque: 637 newton-metres
Engine type: 2.3 litre inline-4 (turbocharged)
Weight: 1070 kilograms
Tyres: 265 mm (F) / 265 mm (R), Semi-slick racing tyres (Advan A048)

(TGF, DON'T whine if you have a hard time using this car off-road or for drifting! THIS CAR IS DESIGNED STRICTLY FOR CIRCUIT RACING.)

Again I while whine about the poly-ed interior but well... The balance is just a bit high to my taste but anyway, this is cool :) Great Job. I like HKS as a company too :D I just think that there's some lack of HKS Tune Imprezas :P

I testdrived it and I noticed one thing:
Turn in response is maybe alittle too much and when you come out of the corner, the car responses too sharply there. Remeber that the car has its engine in front and its AWD so I think it needs just slower and softer response.
OH YEAH, forgot to say that this is an great car. :D
And its great that this car has right specifications. :bg:
