Maybe because I'm not in there. :o
But you're right, we're drifting too far away from the original thread.

So: "Who knows by whom the palettes are made?

EDIT: Sorry, wrong thread  , I meant:
Someone else wants the savegame-merger, or the dithering Emporium?

Hannu, who art in Finland, Räbinä be thy name. Sim racers come, races are won, at Agari, as at Xupong. Give us this day our version 1.06, and forgive us all our impatience, as we race those who challenge against us. Lead us not into boredom, but deliver us from work. For thine is the GeneRally, and the AI, and the race cars. Amen!

Is there any car file copier? Like you can copy physics only, not the whole car and model without replacing the physics. That would be useful when doing series that has same cars. It tooks long time when copying the model from something, painting it, making excact physics as the other one, if the model is edited.

Yes there is, it's a small utility by Rich Nagel and it's called GeneRally Practice Tree. It's not posted on his site AFAIK, but if you give me your email I can send it to you. ;)

Is TrackTool v1.02 by Juan still working?
It keeps showing me "Run-time error 53" :weep:
Is it a version problem maybe?

@ BrianH:

On Win7 x64, TrackTool 1.02 starts absolutely well. However it doesn't show any track data - probably because the last supported GeneRally version was 1.05. I used to use TrackTool for optimizing AI lines and I miss it quite much to be honest. Was great fun to analyse the tracks back then...
My programming skills are pretty much... none... however I am wondering if there's any way to update TrackTool to support the newer versions up to 1.10b... Image

Maybe some can try to write email to Juan ask him, if he knows about new version and have motivation to update it? I wonder if somebody tried to do it after/instead complaining. :) The tools are really great, it's pity, that we have this issue. :(

Hey guys,

I have some good news! I reached Juan concerning an update of his great TrackTool for the new versions of GR - let me share his answer with you:
Glad to see there's someone that actually use one of my tools besides the
old and out of date public version of the Car Editor.
As soon as I have some free time, I'll test the TrackTool with the new GR
version and fix the problems.
Also, a few weeks ago, somebody sends me a mail with an award, so I'll visit
the forum to see what's going on and try to find if there's still some old
friends.
Regards,
Juan
So, let's be patient and hope that Juan will have some spare time in the near future, and let's give him a warm welcome when he arrives back here. :)

Old and out of date public version of Car Editor? That suggests he's made a better one than it... :P

I was quite astonished when I figured out that TrackTool still (in GR 1.10b) works almost perfectly.

All you have to do is copying all your tracks from your subfolders [Default Tracks] etc. into the main track folder.
Checked it with Estio by Tuomoh and Khole by HJ on Win XP 32 Bit. But that shouldn't make any difference...

I suspect it's all about those brackets in the names of your subfolders. I will check later.
