[gtc] [for] Haruna's World of Racing; NEW! Asian GT-E AM

Post by Haruna »

Haruna presents...
World of Racing
What is WORLD OF RACING?
The World of Racing project is a lot more than just a pack of cars; it's a finely tuned universe with stories of its own to tell. Every car has a unique AI value assigned to it, and every pack ships with matching AI drivers, bringing the races to life.

Why are you making fictional series?
Even in today's modern racing world, there are still great battles that will never happen; you'll never see a GT3 car and a GTLM battle it out for overall victory in real-life, as an example. The World of Racing project aspires to bring GeneRally players lots of cool 'what-if' scenarios.

What is it like to drive a car from the WORLD OF RACING project?
Unlike any GeneRally car pack before it, these cars are designed to be QUICK and AGILE, like real racing cars. Race cars in real life are only as smooth as their drivers, and the cars in these packs are the same.

...so, without further ado, here's the first in the World of Racing series!

INSTALL NOTES - PLEASE READ BEFORE USING THESE PACKS!
This pack was created with the idea that you have cleared out your Cars folder prior to installing. The Drivers directory should also be cleaned as well, so that there is only your player profile and the AI drivers that ship with this pack installed.
The pack comes shipped with a palette called world_of_racing.pal, and you MUST have this palette enabled for the cars to appear as they do in the screenshots. This palette is identical to the standard GR palette, but brightens the oranges and changes one more color so that pink cars are possible.

Be warned, the AI ranges from skill levels 107 to 115! An optional patch which will tone down the difficulty for less experienced drivers will be released soon.

If no one is willing to review that... Heh, awesome carpack, really great cars, and very challenging AI (which leads me to use it on the regular AI I usually employ). Like you mentioned in the post, it really feels like a race car, being swift and hard to perfect turns. Really nice effort, thanks for that!
If only the pallete were appliable for the cars and not for environiment and interfaces... =/

Haruna's World of Racing PART 2: Lightning Car World Series

Post by Haruna »

After a VERY long wait, here is the next part, with all new physics, a rebuilt team roster, and TEAM UPGRADES! This next series is the Lightning Car World Tour, an Oval Racing focused series run as a joint cooperation between the Thunder Alley Sporting Association (TASA) and the World Racing Authority (WRA).
Lightning Car World Series
The quest for the World's Greatest in Oval Racing begins and ends here.
Discipline: Oval Racing
Category: Lightning Car (Tier A)
Background:
Originally an American-focused series due to the almost exclusively American focus on tarmac speedway racing, Lightning Car is a class well known for its blistering speeds, being the fastest of all the currently active Oval Racing categories recognized by the WRA and TASA. The series has traditionally held races almost exclusively in the U.S., though it was much more global in the mid-90's and mid-2000's. After a series of high profile wrecks at the turn of the decade, however, a totally new specification of race car was created with the goal of safer, and hopefully cheaper racing.

The Cars:
After cost escalation forced the series into a single-manufacturer competition prior to the turn of the decade, the DW12 was introduced, radically altering the technical specifications. With it brought competition between two manufacturers, Honda and Chevrolet. The Honda is 5 kilos lighter but is less powerful and thus not as fast down the straights, while the Chevrolet powered cars are the exact opposite, being 5 kilos heavier than the Honda but also more powerful. The differences are minor, but with further modification by the teams, those differences will add up to a lot over the course of the 300 km races.

The cars are all powered by a 2.2 liter turbocharged V-8 engine from either manufacturer, putting out 740 to 750 from base tune. Their relatively heavy (compared to say, a World Grand Prix car) curb weight of 700 to 705 kilograms is mainly down to the extra safety measures required for the constant 200+ mph these cars are easily all capable of. As with all Oval Racing cars, the downforce is relatively minimal and are setup to be driven as loose as you dare; but be warned, a mistake at these speeds will hurt. Badly.
The Teams:
Aleph Racing Developments are a relatively new team to the top level of Oval Racing, having only just obtained a pair of cars last season. The team's cars are tuned with maximizing power to weight ratio in mind, but due to their constrained budget at this level, their handling isn't quite up to par. Expect them to do well at tracks where power is king, but falter at shorter tracks. Their drivers are the Italian open-wheel specialist Giancarlo Fierro, and the Japanese (metaphorical) road roller, Meiko Taniguchi. Their fight to stay out of last this season will be yet another struggle if Meiko's string of DNFs from last season keep up.

Americom Grand Prix Engineering are America's go-to Open-Wheel racing specialists, but they've also got a storied history of racing in stock cars in the various Thunder Alley championships. The team is no stranger to the series, having been a part of the tour for just over a decade. Americom's cars are powerful and have good aerodynamics, but are still using stock chassis specifications, making them weak on medium speed tracks. This team's driver roster consists of American rising star Daniel Jackson and Irish hothead Flora Earthlight. Although their drivers have great aspirations, great equipment, and the talents to do so, the fact of the matter is, they just don't quite have the experience to match the top teams.

Astor Sport is one of the longest running teams in the U.S. scene. Initially a team that targeted primarily Open-Wheel racing, the team branched out into Oval Racing in the Lightning Car Series a decade ago with reasonable success. While their funding isn't quite on the same level as the top teams, Astor Sport makes it up by being well-drilled and well-disciplined. The team's cars are tuned with a focus on powerful, but reliable performance, and thus are great cars to drive at low to medium speeds. Among their ranks for this series are Canadian Open-Wheel and Oval Racing legend Patrick Thundose, and his Norwegian disciple, Anders Osterbjon. Expect this team to be fighting for the top spots.

Beast Energy Motorsport may be relatively new to racing compared to the other teams, but their drivers and personnel sure aren't, and it shows. Well-funded and well-trained, despite having been in the series for only three seasons, the Beast Energy team have repeatedly posted upsets against the regular front runners. Their cars are tuned with maximum speed and power in mind, and thus have developed an aerodynamic package that outruns just about every other team on the grid on a straight. The Beast Energy car is a bit on the heavy side, however, and suffers at short ovals. Beast Energy's driver pairing is the Australian Michelle "Squirrel Girl" Nanaya, and American rallycross superstar turned drifter and circuit racer Zackary Fear Jr.

Northern Wolf Motorsports have widely been regarded as one of the strongest teams in any discipline in recent years, and it's not hard to see why. Backed by an extremely wealthy and ambitious man who fancies calling himself "The Benefactor", the team is a melding of world-class teams from all over the world. Their combined funding and staffing forces allow for the team to field an incredibly strong car at high speed tracks, though its handling at low speeds leaves a bit to be desired. For this series, The Benefactor hand-picked American oval ace Joey Davis and Irishman Donnie McAlister, a rival to Flora Earthlight. All is in place for them to dominate this season, but of course, it's theirs to lose.

Pergusa World Motorsports aren't exactly a traditional Oval Racing team. Having originally gone out of business in the mid-90's, the newly formed team under the same name is a revival of one of the longer running names in racing history. Despite being completely new to the Oval Racing scene, Pergusa's mixture of American-bred oval racing talent and European technical expertise have allowed this team to be a formidable force on the shorter, more technical ovals. This team's driver pairing consists of twin sisters Amber and Jade Sebringson, daughters to Endurance racer Frank Sebringson. If the team can take advantage of their handling, they'll be the ones to watch, but their power disadvantage may come back to bite them.

Phantom Energy Racing Team are a unification of several tuning shops and racing teams from the West Coast. Although oval racers at heart, this season is the first time the team has ever touched an open-wheel race car of this specification. As a result, the car is plenty powerful and light, but its handling manners might potentially be questionable; large ovals may be a blessing or a bane depending on the driver. While the team itself is certainly inexperienced in top-flight open-wheel oval racing, its drivers are not. Howard Savage is an American well known for his steady hand at the wheel, but his age is starting to show through. His teammate Andre Ellison is more comfortable with heavier cars, which may prove to be a liability in the championship run.

Skullcrusher Competition are a dark horse on the top level of American Endurance and Oval Racing, having only been formed six years ago in the dirt track scene. Raised to drive sideways, the team began making surprise appearances on the Thunder Alley tours and quickly began making a name for themselves. Their no-nonsense, back to basics approach to car development has lead to the team having a reputation of building fantastic handling cars, though this being their first-ever year in Lightning Car competition, it's still remarkably underdeveloped. Their drivers, Irishwoman Fionna Samson and Italian Concetta Sienna are both better known for their exploits in the IMAS SUPER Series, and are equally as new to Lightning Car. Don't expect too much... yet.

Steel Angel Auto Sports were a team formed by ex-Scarlet Devil Race Works driver and mentor Sara Hockenheim, after a series of internal disputes left her and several of her staff members in disgust. Though nowhere nearly as well-funded as she used to be, Sara's team are definitely one of the better crews to have in this discipline. The Steel Angels have tuned their cars for ease of use, and it shows; while down on power compared to their rivals, the car handles like a dream at nearly any speed. Sara herself and her Grand Prix disciple, Cameron Martel, will be driving for the team this season. If all goes to plan, this team could... ahem... steal some wins.

The Apex Predators are normally a team native to European circuit racing. Their Oval Racing division was founded when team founder Patrik Kriz began expressing a desire to race overseas. Oval Racing legend Joseph Sauvageau quickly caught wind of this, joining the team and expanding the Apex Pred's operations to the United States. Joseph's biggest contribution to this upstart team is an easy to race car, similar in specification to the cars used by Steel Angel Auto Sports. The Apex Predators thus have both the same strengths and weaknesses in terms of cars; what the Apex Preds truly believe is their trump card are their two drivers, Joseph Sauvageau himself, and Christian Chevalier, both Oval Racing legends worldwide. They may be the only ones who can take down the Wolves.

Windblitz Motorsports are one of Europe's top teams as of recent years, but with a lower profile Oval Racing scene there, the team has finally made an assault on the American Oval Racing scene. Normally specialists in Endurance and Grand Prix racing, a number of the team's newest drivers were once a part of the British Oval Racing scene. As basis from their Endurance racers, their car is powerful, and well-tuned for high speeds, but it all feels iffy at slower speeds. Thankfully, the team's drivers British Stock Car experts Lewis and Simon May are both well-trained to compensate for this problem. Though not quite a contender for the topmost spot, expect this team to finish very close to the pointy end.

Southern Rebels Motorsport are a staple of the American racing scene, having been involved in the traditional disciplines for nearly over forty years. Their name is well known in the United States as a result of their involvement, and the now diverse range of specialties the team has on offer allows them to be competitive anywhere. The Rebels have built an incredible handling car at low to medium speeds, with great grip, light weight, and quick response, although it is rather short on power. Though their drivers for this season are better known for their performance in Touring Cars, Sarah Dixon is a solid oval racer, and Juan Montrez is no scrub either. If things go well, expect them to fight near the front half of the field.

Michelle Nanaya's nickname is a reference to the Blazblue character she takes her family name from, Makoto Nanaya, a squirrel beast girl, famous for her shapely appearance and ridiculously fluffy tail.

Joseph Sauvageau is a shout out to jo.sk. His mastery of the oval discipline is referenced by being the best driver of the group, as he famously held a variety of short track and oval based events, as well as being a regular in GRASCAR.

Despite being a blatantly obvious reference to old anime series Steel Angel Kurumi, Steel Angel Autosports' members are not references to the anime series.
Haruna's World of Racing PART 3: Global Touring Championship

Post by Haruna »

Global Touring Championship
A world tour showcasing the best of Touring.

Discipline: Touring Car
Category: Category One Tourer (Tier A)
Background:
Originally a series catering to German manufacturers, renewed interest in high-tech Touring Car racing in Asia among the leading Japanese manufacturers pushed the organizing body, then the Deutsch Rennbehorde (DRB for short) for a World Championship series. After much bickering, face-punching, and heated debate, the technical regulations for the Global Touring Masters were finally agreed upon. Though not the first time European and Pacific Touring Car teams have faced off against each other, the continental rivalry will rage on once more.

The Cars:
Although these cars definitely violate the typical Touring Car tradition by being completely different to the road cars they're supposed to emulate, the Category One Tourer is a (mostly) spec formula aimed squarely at two key factors: the spectacle and the speed. All cars are powered by a 4.0 liter V-8 sporting around 550 horsepower unrestricted, with further power boosting coming from a 50 horsepower electric motor utilizing a Kinetic Energy Recovery System (KERS).

Typical to the Touring discipline, these cars have plenty of mechanical grip and are deliberately setup a little "weighty"; aggressive racing is not only allowed, the spectators often egg it on. Exploiting weaknesses in your opponent's driving line will allow you to get a spectacular run on them, as the typical Category One Tourer is a wall of drag, limiting maximum speed.
The Teams:
Ceasa Competition are a team founded by Gabriela Ceasa, daughter to racing legend Gabriel Ceasa. A mainstay in the South American Touring and Grand Prix championships, it's no secret that the team is home to some of South America's best drivers. Having finally acquired the funding to compete at a global level, the team's Nissan GT-R C1 Tourer is built for power and speed, but not much else. Their drivers are "Dudu" Barros, the most dominant driver in Brazil's various Touring series and anything but doo-doo; and Gabriela Ceasa, certainly no slouch herself.

Division Zero Racing Team were once a street racing group led by Vladmir Volkov, but sick and tired of keeping their love of racing underground, the team used their knowledge and funding to turn semi-pro at the turn of the millennium. Their Lexus RC-F is a far cry from the V-8 drag racing powerhouses of their past, being focused on efficiency and handling. Their drivers, Natasha Volkov and Touko Ooshima, are both newcomers to the top level of Touring Car racing, and seem to greatly appreciate the newbie-friendly measures. That said, given how competitive this series is, expect this team to be fighting to stay out of last against Rising Dragon Autosport.

Espada Speed Squadron is Spain's most celebrated racing team in recent years. A team founded on the principle of being "for the crowds", Espada are a team focused on spectacle, believing to be performers and entertainers at heart. As a result, their car is tuned to have an excellent power to weight ratio, but due to being a bit short on experience in this tier, their BMW M4 C1 Tourer's handling leaves a lot to be desired. Their drivers are potential future aces Raul Leon and Francisco Hernandez, both remarkably fiery, if somewhat inexperienced at this level. Expect this team to be fighting for mid-pack relevance.

Fuchsia Autosportif are a team well-known in the Mediterranean road racing scene, if not for their racing skill, then it is at least for their distinctive pink livery. Team founder Alexis Kokinos created the team after the World Grand Prix team he was a part of went bankrupt a decade ago; the pink, white, and bare carbon livery is his symbol of believing in "the purity of competition". The Honda NSX C1 Tourer this team runs is definitely rather contrary to the team's "purity" motif, being the only mid-engined car of the class, but it is tuned with balance in mind. Fuchsia's drivers for this season are superstar Alexis Kokinos, and young ace Luka Kaspar. While Luka will almost certainly struggle to stay out of the bottom ranks, Alexis will almost certainly carry the team.

Herbal Production are on the forefront of "green" motorsport tech, and it shows. A conglomerate of European automotive leaders and rising stars, the racing team pride themselves especially on efficiency and practicality. Herbal's pride in their strengths shows through in their cars, boasting excellent handling at any speed, fast or slow, though due to their new experimental bio-fuel mix, the engine is conservatively tuned. The team's drivers for this season are actress-turned-pro-racer Veronica Gandolfini and national racing hero Bernat Herceg. While not quite a contender for outright series wins, Herbal are more than capable of giving the front-running teams a run for their money.

IMAS Performance Moe Moe, known as de la Sarthe Motorsport in their olden days, are one of France's longest-running and most prestigious teams, even with their silly title sponsor. Founded in the "frontier era" of auto racing, the team's experience spans well over 70 years. Their recipe is simple; power and control in equal measure. As a result, IMAS Performance's Audi A5 C1 Tourer is a threat, especially at tracks with long sweeping bends and long straights. For this season, Mathieu Allard and Marie-Eve Garnier are the team's drivers; both better known for their exploits in other disciplines, but still regarded as highly skilled. Even so, it might not be enough to win the title; several other teams have even better drivers.

Marchetti Motormania are an Italian racing team that have been around since the dawn of racing in their home country; a long-running traditional name, the team is regarded as one of the best in the entire world, with every single one of their drivers being hand-picked to assemble a dream team like no other. Their cars are powerful and light, though the BMW M4 C1 Tourer they run is a little tricky to drive. What would be considered a major weakness for other teams' drivers is no issue for the ones found in this line-up, however. Gaetan Czajka and Tuomo Liekki are both drivers who originally hailed from the world of rallying, and their talents carry over exceptionally well. If there's anyone who will win both championships, it might be this team.

The Benefactor's picks for this series are Danielle Flameheart, a stock car racing legend equally feared on road courses; and her teammate is Joey Davis, an American oval racing ace with a scary temperament. This team may be set to be the favorites to win, but their rivals are not to be underestimated.

Rising Dragon Autosport are a unification between some of China's best racing teams, founded with the goal of showing teams from other countries that they mean business. Though relatively new to the top tiers and international competition in general, the Rising Dragons have produced a number of surprising upset victories in lower tiers. The team's Nissan GT-R C1 Tourer has excellent low-speed handling and is plenty light, but leaves a lot of other things to be desired at this level of competition. Their drivers, Huang-Dong Wu and Qiu-Zhou Lam, are relatively inexperienced at this tier despite being regular competitors in the J-Speed Association GT Masters. Since this is their first season, don't expect this team to do too much yet.

Spera Squadron are normally more well-known in rallying circles than in road racing; this didn't stop founder and rallying legend Sebastian Pasche from forming an all-new road racing division of his team, with the goal of equally dominating the track as hard as he did the trails. To this end, the Spera Squadron Lexus RC-F C1 Tourer is an all-out handling monster, developed with maximum response in mind. Spera's driver pairing for this season is Hannu Sireni, Finnish rallycross superstar, and fiery Russian youngster Ania Semenova-Minase, who, at the age of 16, will be the youngest-ever Category One Tourer driver. Though the team has loads of potential, this year will be a development one; until Ania and Hannu get up to speed, it will be a while before they start winning.

Uguu Power Sports are widely considered by Aussies to be their country's equivalent to the de la Sarthe Motorsports team; equally childish-sounding title sponsors (manufacturer of Asian-style sweets, in this case), hugely talented drivers, and a lot of money to back it up. Lead by Touring Car legend Peter Bathurst, the team are unusual in that a huge percentage of their winnings go straight towards charities around the world. This hasn't affected the performance of their cars at all; the Honda NSX C1 Tourer they run is a pure grip monster. Driving for this team are the father-daughter duo of Peter and Lily Bathurst, both considered highly skilled drivers in Touring Cars. Don't mistake Peter's charity for weakness, however; he and his team are tough fighters until the end.

Stern Rennsport have been a part of the German racing scene since forever. A noble family whose history spans several centuries back, the team originally consisted of fighter pilots and mechanics in their early years. How time has changed, and yet one thing remains static; the Stern's will to win. Unlike most family-based racing teams, the Sterns' drivers learned much of their craft racing for other teams as part of a "quest" to master their art. The mastery of their art is a necessity, as for instance, their C-Coupe C1 Tourer has both a high top speed and excellent grip, but it is short on power. The Sterns view this championship as their home; Gunter and Konrad Stern are both (relatively) young masters eager to defend their pride. Look for them to be fighting for the win.

@Haruna, will be there a Road Course version of your Dallara DW12 availlable? I'm asking, because I plan to use Lightning Car World Series pack as base for the 2015 IndyCar Series pack.

Haruna's World of Racing PART 4: World Super GT Cup

Post by Haruna »

World Super GT Championship
The Grand Tour of GT racing, a classic clash of East versus West.
Discipline: Endurance
Category: GT Endurance PRO (Tier B)
Category Introduction:
Though racing modified sports cars have always been popular, the modern GT Endurance PRO category is a long-held tradition initially created by the J-Speed Association for its national Endurance racing pinnacle, the J-SA GT Masters. Designed after the fall of the late 80's Works Prototype class, the J-SA GT Endurance PRO regulations were developed in cooperation with the World Racing Authority (WRA) and the European United Racing Organization (EURO), whose own premier Endurance series had collapsed due to a rapidly escalating power and downforce war that resulted in a number of high-profile fatalities and even bankrupting several major privateer outfits who would not appear again until today.

As the 90's progressed, EURO and WRA once again moved away from the initially proposed global specification for GT-E PRO, repeating the result of cost inflation for teams, though thankfully without the death and destruction that marred Endurance racing the decade before. At the turn of the millennium, all of the WRA member bodies agreed upon using the J-SA GT Endurance PRO regulations without any regional deviations, allowing manufacturers to finally focus on just one spec for top-flight GT Endurance racing. It would take another decade before similar regulations overhauls would finally stabilize for amateur and gentleman teams, however.

Series Background:
Created one year after the global unification of the premier Endurance GT category, the World Super GT Championship is a series targeted at bringing the best teams and manufacturers from the regional professional Endurance leagues. Although the category regulations were originally developed by the J-Speed Association, the series enjoys huge popularity from pro-am privateer outfits both from Japan (such as Tsuchigami no Kyojin) and out of Japan (such as the newly re-established Pergusa World Motorsports). Due to the still-huge influence of Japanese teams in this particular category, this is one of the few World Series which has a two rounds in one country.

The Cars:
The formula for a modern-day GT Endurance PRO class car is pretty simple. 600 horsepower (give or take 20), fat slicks, a somewhat liberal minimal weight limit, and an emphasis on aerodynamic grip, all combine for a great car to race. Although the GT Endurance PRO class is more heavily restricted on power than the AM class is, the chassis and aerodynamic regulations are certainly not; many of the cars do not actually use the original production chassis, instead opting for a similarly-shaped carbon fiber shell reinforced by a tubular steel frame. As with GT-E AM, engine swaps from the same manufacturer are allowed, and in addition, aspiration swaps (for example, atmospheric to turbo) are legal.

Although each of the GT-E PRO cars are quite a bit different from one another despite the heavy regulation of performance, there is the usual bit of advice for Endurance cars. While these cars CAN be drifted, you WILL kill your tires. Power over these cars at your peril!
The Teams:
Avici Autosportif are a global conglomerate of racing talent, though the team has Brazilian roots. The team are no strangers to Endurance, having been in various series held by IMAS (the International Motoring Authority on Sport) for two decades; however, with Reisuke Yamasa being new to this level of competition, their Lexus SC430 JSA-GT's tune is a back-to-basics balanced approach. Gabranth Schtauffen will be spending this season as the second driver of the team, coaching Reisuke Yamasa, a relatively new driver to the team. Hopes are high but expectations low for this blossoming team.

Beast Energy Motorsport may be relatively new to racing compared to the other teams, but their drivers and personnel sure aren't, and it shows. This well-disciplined squad have done their homework on GT Endurance racing, though it seems like their power-hungry tuning methods for the Chevrolet Corvette C7-JS.R hasn't quite paid off yet here. Appropriately for the Corvette, the Beast Energy car cranks its power up to eleven, paired with an aero package meant for higher max speeds. Nifty for long straights, though it is clumsy in the corners. Their drivers Madoka Tanaka and Hayate Hamasaki are young Pro Tuned prodigies, but rookies to the discipline and series. Their fight to stay out of last this season may be a struggle.

de Witte World Racing Team are essentially Einzbern AG's works team, having been a part of the company's racing program since its inception in the late 50's. A storied name in racing, the de Witte family have had racing successes in the discipline stretch back even further, back in the days of cross-country road races. The Einzbern Iris I8 JS-RSR the de Wittes are running for this season are running an experimental package, focused on power and response. With the added power, the car is very quick on straights, but is nervous in the corners. Unfortunately, while Iris de Witte is an excellent wheelman, her teammate Shirou Aikawa lacks experience at this level of competition. Mid-front of the pack is all this team might be doing this season.

Espada Speed Squadron is Spain's most celebrated racing team in recent years. A team founded on the principle of being "for the crowds", Espada are a team focused on spectacle, believing to be performers and entertainers at heart. As a result, their car is tuned to have an excellent power to weight ratio, improving upon their Maserati MC12 JSA-GT's bigger weaknesses. The improved ratio does make the car even more nervous than usual, unfortunately. While Raul Leon and Francisco Hernandez are as far from scrubs as you can get from a driver line-up, the level of competition in this series is just too damn high. Expect them to be fighting at the back of the pack.

Eternal Brakes R&D Team are, as their name implies, a research and development team for a high-profile brakes manufacturer. Although their brand is commonly used among other teams, the R&D squad are always the first to get their hands on the latest developments. Their Ford GT JS-GT is short on power, but handles well at any speed. It being a bit rear-heavy however, the team's car is a little unstable in unsteady hands, though this makes it a pretty good car for learning smooth driving. Andrew Pilgrim and Benedict Stark have been partners on this team for a long time, and their cooperation is probably the reason why the cars handle as well as they do. Even so, the team will probably still be stuck at mid-pack this season.

Fan Service Magazine Project D.D. have a silly name and a sponsor more well-known for publishing risque content than its involvement in racing. After a few articles interviewing several key figures in the racing scene, however, fans wanted a race team of their own to root for, and they got it. Though a driver development program at heart, the team are just as serious about winning as any of the other teams are, and their own Ford GT JS-GT has mated power with downforce for an ideal package at fast circuits. Even though the team usually employs pro-am lineups, the team are aiming for wins this season, and have their two driver coaches Elise Nurburg and Christina Giese in the seats. Their underdeveloped race package is what is holding them back.

Even though the Saleen S7-R they field is inherently very snappy, the car handles amazingly well in the right hands. And what better hands for this team than their Endurance superstar, Sophia de la Sarthe? Her teammate Mathieu Allard is no noob either, so expect this team to be fighting for podiums if not outright wins!

As is the usual for the team, their Nissan GT-R JSA-GT is a powerhouse focused on high-speed circuits, with improved aerodynamics and a powerful engine to boot. For this series, The Benefactor has Japanese GT master Sora Kuroi and rising superstar Donnie McAlister in the drivers' seats. This could be another championship for the team to dominate, but Kuroi's involvement in this series has also incurred the wrath of his rivals; and you can bet they won't take it sitting down.

Pergusa World Motorsports were once long-time rivals to Italian motorsports juggernaut Scuderia Testarossa. Having gone out of business in the mid-90's after one of their most beloved drivers of the era ended up being brutally killed, the newly formed team under the same name is a mix of American and European talents. The way the Pergusas have tuned their Lamborghini RS-V JSA-GT is a total antithesis to their past methods, focusing on being a pure grip monster. Though a bit edgy on the limit, their car is a reliable, consistent performer at any circuit. Fitting to this team's Endurance roots, Jade Sebringson and Emma Pergusa will be running for the Pergusa name this season. Though Emma is a bit young to be a title winner, her best friend Jade is an excellent Endurance racer and should not be underestimated.

Tsuchigami no Kyojin were once just a loving couple in their local street racing scene. Though the Garage House Tsuchigami brand has been one of the longest-running service brands in the country, their involvement in racing was kept at a relatively local level. This all changed in the 90's once said loving couple wanted to ditch the streets and hit the track. Fitting to their name, the Tsuchigami's Honda HSV-010 GT is a pure powerhouse with augmentations to the Honda's already immense downforce levels. The result is a high speed cornering monster that is tough to tame. Taming the team's titan for this season will be team founder Haruna Tsuchigami, a much-loathed rival of Sora Kuroi, while Ludwig Stern plays role of teammate to her. If there's one team that can rival the Wolves here, it's this one.

Yukihiro Racing Engineering have similar backgrounds to Garage House Tsuchigami, being a family run automotive service business. Though the family is on friendly terms with the Tsuchigamis, they're still rivals due to their allegiances with differing brands and philosophies. Rather than building upon existing strengths, the Yukihiro family have built their name on bringing harmonious balance to their machines. As a result, their Lexus SC430 JSA-GT has good all-round handling, is light, and is reasonably quick down long straights. Megumi Yukihiro has her sights set squarely on Sora Kuroi in this series, and her nephew Ryou looks equally as determined, though unfortunately not as skilled. Expect Megumi to be striking for the front row.

Windblitz Motorsports are one of Europe's top teams in recent years. Having made their name in the Endurance and Grand Prix disciplines, it is no surprise that the team came looking for a fight against the world's best. Drawing upon their recent successes in GT racing, the team have tuned their Einzbern Iris I8 JS-RSR with maximizing grip in mind, a method which aided greatly in reducing the car's stability problems. Although their car is still a handful, it is a winner on tight, twisty circuits without much contest. Maria Lopez-Perez is looking to blow away everyone's expectations this season, though she'll have to make sure her teammate Jack Black can keep up, as he's relatively new to this level of competition. This team could be a winner.

Why do you have to be that good with your carsets, Haruna? I can't stop playing them! :bg:

Any clue on what's coming next? GTE Am? LMPs?

But i have something to say to you.
you should included the unpainted version of the cars.
and you'll make LMP next?

Not to be a major hype-killer, but I've been planning to give the Pro Tuned discipline a bit of love next. Super Modified (basically World Time Attack Pro class cars) will be the next class to be introduced into WOR, although Works Prototype (LMP1) or the World Driver's Grand Prix (gee, I wonder) will follow shortly after.

Player base versions of the cars across various classes will be released pretty soon, although these will use the base specifications without any upgrades. Funny enough, I meant to release the base cars first and then their respective WOR packs shortly after, but it seems like I've gone the other way around. :sweatdrop:

I've seem to find a guy named Andreas Brunestud. is he supposed to be a reference or something?
also, you should give J-Speed more love by updating it.

Haruna's World of Racing PART 5: PARC Super Modded Champions

Post by Haruna »

PARC Super Modified Championship
Down under and in the far east, cars as legendary as their drivers do battle.

Discipline: Pro Tuned
Category: Super Modified (Tier B)

PARC = Pacific-Asia Racing Coalition; pronounced like the English word "park"

Category Introduction:
Give a man the means and the tools to go faster and he will. Pro Tuned, while the youngest of all of the WRA-sanctioned circuit racing disciplines, has a history rich in its own way. Tracing its roots to barely-if-at-all-legal street racing scenes all over the world, the World Racing Authority sought to legitimize the underground sport the only way it knew how: to take it to the track. Unlike the more formulaic traditional disciplines, Pro Tuned has a wide-open "run what you brung" policy, with most rule books in the discipline almost exclusively pertaining to safety protocols and not much else.

Until Ultimate Modified was introduced in 2010, the Super Modified class was the most extreme of all the circuit-based modified cars. Targeted towards top-level tuning shops especially in the Pacific and the Far East, these tuning shops built some of the most insane turn-key production based race cars money could buy. For nearly a fifth of the costs of running a GT Endurance PRO car, one could have their hands on a car capable of not just matching but even sometimes exceeding that level of performance... on semi-slicks. With the rapidly increasing popularity of Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), many teams have taken these already monstrous machines even further.

Series Background:
Initially a series exclusive to Japan, the J-SA Super Modified Battle Series was the holy grail for circuit-based tuners. In many ways, the series was the tuning scene's answer to the popularity of GT Endurance racing; the Battle Series' sprint racing format, combined with a rule book that emphasized power and downforce over all else mirrors the 80's and 90's era of sports car racing very closely. Even with the merger with the Confederation of Australian Racing Sports (CARS) Modified Masters, the series is heavily dominated by Japanese tuning shops looking to assert their dominance.

The Cars:
Although based on the original production car chassis, the Super Modified class is home to some of the most radical modifications in the modding scene today. Every car in this category is running some form of forced induction, be it via a super or turbocharger; and it is this that allows the cars to output far more power than most GT race cars are ever allowed to. Engine swaps are also a common sight to hold here; many of the Mazda RX-7 based cars run a 3-rotor engine based off of the Mazda Eunos Cosmo for instance.

Though there are a few cars under the 600 horsepower mark, many of the contenders in this class run well over 700 horsepower. Although the Super Modified cars have immense levels of downforce, their grip is actually pretty poor due to the use of track day focused semi-slicks, rather than 'truly proper' slicks. Handling these cars at low speeds will be a handful, and it is wise that you drive with as little sliding as possible when dealing with slow corners. Paradoxically, at high speeds, you'll need to trust the car that it will grip all the way through fast sweeping bends; even if it means you end up going sideways past the apex at 200+ km/h.
The Teams:
After School Race Time are a team funded almost entirely by team founder Tsumuji Kotobuki, a student at the Mie University. Hailing from a wealthy family, he founded the team as an outlet for like-minded students to pursue their dreams as racing drivers and team personnel. Their Scorch Racing Silvia is tuned to be a tamer drive than its standard counterpart, although it is still a powerhouse down any given straight. Mio Nakajima and Azusa Takahashi will be taking the wheel for the team this season, approaching it like anything the team would school related: as an opportunity to learn. Though they show promise, the team as a whole is a bit young to be contending for victories.

AoTech BioRacing Team are Japan's leader in refining the art of high-performance applications of biofuel technology. As a team primarily focused on exploiting the peak of the extremes, the boys and girls at Aotech see the Pro Tuned discipline as their ultimate proving grounds. Their Team Top Fuel S2000 is running a newly developed high-octane biofuel developed in cooperation with Herbal Production, making the already immense power level even greater. Combined with its weight savings, their car is an alright all-rounder that is more suited to 'power' tracks. The drivers for this season are Tier 2 Modified graduate Akiha Honda and Pro Tuned newcomer Madoka Akiyama. Expectations are fairly low, and the team is considering this a development year for both its drivers and their newly developed fuel.

Clara Crescendo Carsport may be a team based around an idol singer that doesn't even actually exist, but with the power of crowd funding from hobbyists around the world, they're just as serious about winning as any other. Though the team operates on a relatively small budget compared to their rivals, they have their priorities set straight; their Panspeed RX-7 takes a no-nonsense approach, with a good power to weight ratio and a bit of weight reduction, making it a good choice for power circuits. Driving for the team this season are cafe manager turned racer Zunko Tohoku, and Clubsport GT graduate Kenshin Nakahara. Unfortunately, both drivers lack experience at this level of competition, which could mean a frustrating battle to stay out of last.

Kiwi Berry Racing Project are New Zealand's top tuning shop, having supplied a number of teams in its native country to success in the CARS Modified Masters with its years of expertise lifted from Touring Car and Rally racing. As the team that started the trend of using all-wheel-drive sedans in New Zealand time attack events, they bring their Autotech "Hulk" Impreza WRX with their classic winning recipe: fantastic handling and easy to drive at any speed. While not the most powerful of the bunch, their car can easily deliver consistent performances, even more so on twisty tracks. Well-known for his record lap at Sethandrew Circuit, Devyn Sparks will be taking role as lead driver, while team founder Barry Armstrong will follow in his tracks. Expect this team to be just ahead of the mid-card, but not quite strong enough to upset the front runners.

Mirai Millennium Motorsport is the pet project of a famous Japanese culture research group; aiming to be Japan's top driver development program, the team has paired experienced engineers with young and upcoming racers. Though one of the head engineers believes that aerodynamics are for people who can't build engines, their Powertune Skyline GT-R is a surprisingly tame car that can take on any circuit with ease. Exploiting the strengths of the all-wheel-drive layout, there's plenty of extra power to exploit the car's impressive downforce figures. As a result, their car is a perfect rival to the Kiwis on twisty tracks. Mirai Suenaga joined the team by happy coincidence, but her biggest rival is ironically her teammate, Kizuna Yumeno. The team as a whole are rather new, though; many believe that this season will just be a warm-up for what's to come.

Rising Dragon Autosport are a unification between some of China's best racing teams, founded with the goal of showing teams from other countries that they mean business. Thanks to this union of teams, Rising Dragon are well-funded and well-suited to competition at the continental level. Believing in balance, the team took it upon themselves to improve their Cyber Evo Evolution IX's biggest weaknesses: namely, the low speed traction and relatively high weight. With these problems mostly ironed out, their car is a good all-rounder that is especially good at high-speed circuits. Qiu-Zhou Lam is far more comfortable here in the Pro Tuned discipline than he is in Touring, but his teammate Shu-Zan Xun has only just begun her second season in the Super Modified class. Not much is guaranteed for this team's performance this season.

Team Maximum Vision are part of a merger between several competitive gaming programs in the Far East and Pacific regions; in particular, Vision Gaming (based in Indonesia) and Maximum Simsport (based in Malaysia). With this merge brought upon one of Maximum Simsport's biggest dreams: to become a real professional racing team. Their immense sponsorship from gaming and motorsport companies from all over Asia has gifted the team with a beautifully tuned Cyber Evo Evolution IX, with power and grip improvements in equal measure. This team's drivers are Perwira Chu, an ex-sim racer with fourteen virtual tournament wins to his name, and avid Racing Passion fan girl Courtney Douglass, who used the skills learned from her gaming years to land a drive in the real world. It truly is a shame that there are teams even better; had Tsuchigami no Kyojin and Yukihiro Racing Engineering not entered, this team would almost certainly sweep the series.

TOMOKO Powered Garage are ranked in Japan as one of the three shops that make up the "Tuner Trifecta". Specializing in developing "crate" engines for highly popular Japanese sports cars, Tomoko Ishigawa has always prided herself on the strength and reliability of the engines built by her wonderful little shop. Her pride is not without reason; the ARK Design Skyline GT-R (R32) her shop runs is proud to boast the most powerful motor in all of Japan's Super Modified scene. Complimenting this is an improved aerodynamics package helping its issues at high speeds; if the driver can keep its power under control on the twisty bits, the team's GT-R is a missile with reasonable agility as well. Team founder Tomoko Ishigawa and rising star Sena Kagome will be driving the team's cars for this season. If they want to claim top 3 in the team standings, they'll have to look out for TMV and the Kiwis rabidly pursuing their tail.

Tsuchigami no Kyojin are a part of Japan's Tuner Trifecta under the Garage House Tsuchigami name. Team founder Haruna Tsuchigami and her husband Isamu pride themselves most on their chassis work, a relationship that has allowed the team to be ranked among the best in the nation. Their Esprit Honda NSX is no exception to their tuning philosophy. An especially strong emphasis on handling has made their car plenty light and plenty agile in the corners; though it probably is a little too light-footed due to Esprit's decision not to use maximum-width tires. Even so, the car is good at fast yet twisty tracks. Haruna Tsuchigami will be defending her honors as top Super Modified driver this season, though she's been additionally tasked with the driver development of young newcomer Nanami Kanzaki, the youngest competitor in the class. This contrast between the legendary veteran and the young newcomer is what will likely cost the them the Team Championship.

Yukihiro Racing Engineering round out the Japanese Tuner Trifecta, with the aerodynamic aficionado Megumi Yukihiro having lead aerodynamic work for a number of works Endurance and Pro Tuned teams over the years. In contrast to the specialist Tsuchigamis, and the all-out powerhouse that Ishigawa prides herself on, Megumi believes in a totally well-rounded package, able to handle anything, anytime, anywhere. Using Evasive Motorsports' Scion FR-S as a starting point, the Yukihiro shop upped the power on an excellently-handling base, turning it almost into a true all-rounder. It is still a little short on power, though; careful and deliberate driving will be needed to keep momentum when the going gets twisty. Megumi Yukihiro is hoping to take the crown of best Super Mod driver, but while she is a contender for the title, her teammate Daiki Hanagawa is a mid-card driver at best.

Yukiho Speed Factory is a team normally centered in the drifting scene, but a recent partnership with TOMOKO Powered Garage has sparked the shop's interest in circuit racing in a big way. Having always used Tomoko's products in their vehicles, the Speed Factory has finally been given the opportunity to live up to their name. Their Scorch Racing Silvia is built with a back to basics approach, focusing on reduced weight rather than outright power; but the team's car is still most in its element on 'power' circuits. Yukiho Yamamoto will be flying her own team's flag alongside hot rookie Akio Tanimori. Unfortunately for them, the caliber of competition in this series is immense, and if they don't look after their weaknesses, this team will be struggling to break away from mid-pack.

Honekawa Racing Team are the high-speed laboratory for Honekawa Rubber and Tire Company; with many of their products being derived from motorsports applications, the team's parent company especially enjoys the Pro Tuned discipline for testing out new treads and compounds under extreme peak conditions. Their RE-Amemiya "Hurricane" RX-7 is running new and experimental tire compounds and treads to help aid especially with low speed grip, though weight reduction is also among their list of additional improvements from last season. Natsuki Fujiwara and Yuji Aikawa are looking to make their way to the front of the field for the team this season, but with the company more content on showcasing their newest technologies rather than refining what they've already got, the team will be struggling to pick up points, especially at Aunnam Raceway Park where power is king.

Trivia:

After School Race Time is supposed to be a reference to the anime K-ON, whose band name translates roughly as "After School Tea Time".

Continuing the running gag of boys with feminine names, Madoka Akiyama of Aotech is also a male.

Zunko Tohoku is an actually existing Vocaloid developed by AH-Software; her dream is to run a cafe and merchandise shop. The WOR continuity makes her dream come true, as she has apparently become successful enough to promote her businesses via racing.

Mirai Suenaga, as well as her teammate Kizuna Yumeno, are actually corporate mascots for Culture Japan.

Team Maximum Vision's name is loosely based with a Maximum Tune theme; as the Lancer Evolution is a popular pick for many players, this team is particularly fond of using them whenever possible.

Tomoko Ishigawa totally won't blame you for why her tuning shop isn't more popular.

Likewise, Sena Kagome seems immensely popular with the boys... maybe being a hardcore gamer helps?

Yukiho Yamamoto will totally not try to dig a hole and bury herself.

Despite being repeatedly hounded by her rivals for this, Natsuki Fujiwara has absolutely no relationship to either Natsuki Mogi or Takumi Fujiwara.
How does the Einzbern Iris car look like in more detail? (>40 polys)
Edit: Maybe there will be another car in Einzbern AG's lineup?
I hope the name is Illyasviel. That would be a cool car name

Haruna's World of Racing PART 6: World Driver's Grand Prix

Post by Haruna »

World Driver's Grand Prix
The grand prize to end them all; this is the gladiatorial arena where only the chosen few enter, and only one will win.

Discipline: Grand Prix
Category: Grand Prix Division A (Tier A)
Series Introduction:
While definitely not the oldest of all wheel-to-wheel automobile competitions, the World Driver's Grand Prix was the very first racing series organized by what is now known as the World Racing Authority (WRA for short), and thus the longest-running championship under their banner. The strict standardized rule sets were what caught the attraction of numerous drivers and teams seeking its title; modern teams have invested upwards into the billions to develop even a tenth of a second's advantage over their rivals, and many of the drivers here undergo long weeks of specialized training to overcome the hurdles in controlling these machines. It's not hard to see why the series has stood for so long.

The Cars:
The GP Division A cars are the quickest open-wheel race cars around the circuit today. Equipped with multi-layered wings front and rear, as well as specially sculpted under-bodies and diffusers, these cars generate huge amounts of downforce. Recent regulation changes have also allowed for the equipment of a Kinetic Energy Recovery System, which allows for temporary power boosts via electric motors. This is obviously not simulated in GeneRally, and is reflected in a slight power bump over the official reported figures.

As the fastest open-wheel race cars in WOR, they demand to be respected. Avoid kicking the back out on exits, as this will absolutely fry the rear tires. Tire wear is incredibly quick and you will only have a handful of laps at most to put in a fast lap. There are very few tracks where you will need to stop for fuel before you need to stop for tires, and no amount of downforce will save you from heavily worn tires. Don't even think about getting aggressive or you WILL regret it.
The Teams:
Americom Grand Prix Engineering are the premier Grand Prix racing team in the United States; although their open-wheel experience is primarily derived from the time spent in Lightning Car, they've also posted successful results in the IMAS Pan-American Grand Prix, America's stepping stone into the World Driver's Grand Prix. As is typical of Americom, the team's power-hungriness shows, with plenty of power to compliment their Williams FW36's low drag coefficient. Just like in the Lightning Car Series, Daniel Jackson and Flora Earthlight will be driving for the team. Unfortunately, their efforts are guaranteed to fall short this season; though the team have upped their game, so has everyone else. Expect them to be mid-pack at best.

Astor Sport is one of America's longest running privateer Grand Prix racing teams; run by legendary racing driver and car constructor Chris Astor, the team runs on a modest budget, but make up for it with some of the most experienced technical staff in their home country. Though Astor's efforts to become a World Grand Prix driver were screwed over by small teams going in over their heads in his youth, he's made sure not to make the same mistake. The Brawn BGP 001 the team runs is a good representation of his philosophy in the modern Grand Prix world; improved engine, weight optimization, and aerodynamics are all typical of Astor's modifications, and have further improved upon an already fantastic car. Seong-Jun Han and Juho Saarimaa will be driving for the team at this tier of GP racing for the first time this season. If the front-runners can't keep it together, expect them to pick up the pieces.

Avici Autosportif are a global conglomerate of racing talent, though the team has Brazilian roots. Many of the drivers in this team's program participate in a number of lower-tier Grand Prix events as part of the team's driver development, but until last year, their drivers had nowhere to graduate up to. Thanks to a healthy sponsorship boost, the team's Mercedes W05 Hybrid is still tuned for ease of use, but remains a wonderful powerhouse worth its salt on stop and go tracks. Reisuke Yamasa and Victor Santos are the first graduates from the team's driver development program in this discipline, and unfortunately their inexperience at this level shows; although far from scrubs, Victor Santos by his own admission admits they're not going to be striking for wins this year.

Bravery Competition are more typically known for their contributions to Endurance racing than in the Grand Prix discipline. To be fair, their typical Grand Prix effort has been supplying private teams with their own chassis with only modest success at best. Even so, a number of the greatest GP drivers had to initiate their trial by Grand Prix racing with cars supplied by this team. Sadly, whatever driver signs up for this team is going to be running through a trial by lava: Bravery's Caterham CT03 is an improvement over the original, but it's still woefully underdeveloped. Joseph Couture will be coaching World GP rookie Diane Perrault alongside their normal racing duties this season. They'll be struggling at the back alongside Americom for sure.

IMAS Performance Moe Moe, known as de la Sarthe Motorsport in their olden days, are one of France's longest-running and most prestigious teams, even with their silly title sponsor. Founded in the "frontier era" of auto racing, the team's experience spans well over 70 years. This year's upgrade package for the team's Lotus E29 WGP is intended to balance out the car's weaknesses; with significant weight optimizations, subtle aerodynamic tweaks, and a redesigned chassis for improved stability, IMAS Performance have built a wonderful all-rounder. Driving for the team this season is Gilles Paget Jr, son of a Canadian GP racing legend; his teammate, Louise de la Sarthe, is Sophia's younger sister and one in many of her family's long line of legendary racers. Their chances for victory are slim, but don't count them out if their rivals become ignorant of their own pitfalls.

Marchetti Motormania need no introduction. They are the one in Northern Wolf's 21-1, the ultimate final boss of Grand Prix racing, the most dominant team in the current decade, bar none, the one and only MARCHETTI MOTORMANIA. The Marchettis have appropriately prepared their Brawn BGP 001 for this season as such; with an updated chassis, a more powerful KERS system, and lower drag, their car is an even better all-rounder than before. Alessio Serafina, GP racing legend, will be racing alongside motorsports virtuoso Tuomo Liekki for this season. Don't expect them to pull any punches. They are the final bosses of Grand Prix for a good reason, and even Northern Wolf's drivers respect that.

Although their Scuderia Testarossa ST15-T is a new car, the Wolves have made huge strides to further improve an already excellent car. Like usual, their car is hard-tuned for maximum acceleration and response, making it ideal for faster circuits. Erin da Silva and Wolfgang Nurburg will be on-board the program for this season; they're fantastic Grand Prix drivers who can give Fernando Testarossa and Gilles Paget a good run for their money. Whether that will be enough for a championship win is anyone's guess.

Petromobile Motorsport Research are exactly as their name implies; they're a research company that uses racing as their test bed. Funded by one of the largest petrol and oil companies in the world, their budget for upgrades is nearly limitless, but are still restricted by the limits of time. Regardless, their Mercedes W05 Hybrid is an absolute powerhouse down the straights, all thanks to a specially developed high octane fuel mixture. This makes their car highly ideal for tracks with long straights, as coupled with their low drag, the team will be difficult to catch. Lewis Hewland and Jack Burton have had a good few years under their belts now, and with their experience, they might be ones to look out for. If Marchetti are the final bosses, these guys are the sudden spike in difficulty.

Scarlet Devil Raceworks are a seemingly tiny part of the larger picture in the Scarlet Industries mega-corporation despite being the sole supplier for numerous stepping stones to the World Grand Prix. Their main innovation comes in the Automated Intelligent Assembly Plants; this allows the company to easily mass-produce in days what would take other teams many weeks or even months to develop. As a result, the otherwise prototype tire compound they use for their Williams FW36 delivers massively improved cornering grip and response, ideal for twisty tracks. One of their drivers, Fiona Scarlet, is regarded as a great driver who was born in the wrong era; her teammate Patricia Knowledge is a newcomer to the series. While Patricia is expected to bring up the rear, Fiona will definitely be striking for wins... if she doesn't strike the wall first.

Scuderia Testarossa may not be the most dominating team in recent years, but they are by far the most iconic in Grand Prix racing. Since the 1950's, this team has raced in every single season of the World Driver's Grand Prix. Despite a recent slump, the team still managed to show flashes of brilliance in what has arguably been their worst few seasons. Their new car, the ST15-T, is the culmination of what they learned from the slump; rather than try to use their name to buy out drivers, this new car has been redesigned from the ground up to make it excellently well-rounded in every way. Driving for Scuderia this season are Fernando Testarossa, one of Grand Prix racing's biggest stars in recent years, as well as his best friend Naoki Takamachi. Coming off an awful previous season, the Scuderia are yearning to turn things around... and what a huge turnaround it's going to be. Watch your back.

Spera Squadron are normally more well-known in rallying circles than in road racing; this didn't stop founder and rallying legend Sebastian Pasche from forming an all-new road racing division of his team, with the goal of equally dominating the track as hard as he did the trails. This squad's Lotus E21 WGP is tuned to take advantage of its natural grip advantage, with extra downforce and power aplenty. As a result, the car is relatively easy to race without compromising on maximum pace on virtually any circuit on the calendar. Renee Pasche and Cecilia "Cilia" Nowak will be racing for the team this season as a master-student pairing. Though they won't be the championship winners, a few surprises up their sleeve certainly makes them one to watch.

Windblitz Motorsports are one of Europe's top teams in recent years. Having made their name in the Endurance and Grand Prix disciplines, it is no surprise that the team came looking for a fight against the world's best. Though the Caterham CT03 WGP the team runs was woefully underdeveloped, subtle upgrades across the board have addressed many of the car's stability and acceleration issues. Even if it's no Scuderia Testarossa, their car is now a decent all-rounder with a natural bias towards tracks with long straights. Maria Perez-Lopez is no stranger to Grand Prix racing even at this highest level, but she'll need to lend a helping hand to Max Donner if team morale and championship position are to stay high. This is more of a team whose competitiveness will be determined by the driver rather than the car.

Trivia:

Flora Earthlight is very, very loosely based off of Feena Fam Earthlight, a princess from a moon colony in the visual novel Brighter than Dawning Blue.

Bravery Competition are a parody on Courage Competition's name.

Joseph Couture is based on French GeneRally competition organizer JTarJ, famous for organizing one of the first Endurance racing events in the Race Sim Central era community.

If Gilles Paget Jr isn't a blatantly obvious reference to Jacques Villeneuve, I don't know who is.

Alessio Sarafini is based off of GeneRally racing legend Alexsara79 (later Alexwolf79), one of the most dominant GeneRally drivers ever. Of all time.

Lewis... Hewland? You don't mean some other British open-wheel racer?

Fiona Scarlet, for Flandre's sake, stop cosplaying as her.

Patricia Knowledge is Patchouli Knowledge in name only.

Fernando Testarossa is more Fate T. Harlaown gender-swapped than he is Fernando Alonso with an Italian last name. Fate Alonso sounds stupid anyways.

Naoki Takamachi is totally NOT a Nanoha gender-swap! You see, he's just best friends with Fernando Testarossa! Right!? *crickets*

Cecilia Nowak is based loosely on MissPink (later CecilKuga), famous for being one of the few female community members, and a remarkably quick one, at that. Her pink helmet hints at the reference a bit more.
Any clue on what's coming next? GTE Am? LMPs?
I hope, as next LMP and/or F1 will come. :misch:
Hype killer: it's a secret!

also, you should give J-Speed more love by updating it.
He's a reference to Arcueid Brunestud, main heroine of the visual novel Tsukihime. It's by the same studio behind the Fate series of visual novels, video games, and anime, Type-Moon. Originally Andreas Brunestud's team was called Arc's Racing Club, but will be called Archetype Racing Club in future WOR packs.

If Irisviel is a Porsche 911, her daughter would be the various MR lightweight cars built by Porsche: starting with the 914, the Boxster, etc. (As a joke, the coupe version of the newest Illya is called a "Celia".) Note that this passes onto the racing cars too, so the 919 is a Illya SER. Older models just have German words for names.

So Einzbern AG's works Would be an analogue to Porsche? Like RUF is to Porsche?
The oldest model's name is probably Weiss.
What's the nationality of the Company anyways? Judging from the drivers and the names, it's probably German. or Dutch.

So the Formula's been done with. Now, how about LMPs? Ran out of ideas of championships? How about the one where they use bikes? Unpainted version of cars?

As always, great job with the cars! :bg: I will award you some awesome music!
