Papecarz-The Papecraft Racing Board Game

Post by zioalfred »

Hi all you guys!

Hope all is well with you!

I'm Zioalfred (A.K.A. Dago), maybe someone remember me, I'm a "old" track maker

Finally my project Papecarz-The Papecraft Racing Board Game is in crowdfunding on Indiegogo...

Papecarz is an exciting Papercraft Racing Board Game ala Nascar where you are the mechanic (you build your own car!) driver and crew chief!
It’s a Die Cut Papercraft game and an "abstract", "roll and move" board game all in one!

Please spread the word! :)

Fantastic idea. Need a Nurburgring Edition with some GT3s and a raccoon tailed Opel Manta. :P

What are the differences in gameplay between this and FormulaD?
Hannu, who art in Finland, Räbinä be thy name. Sim racers come, races are won, at Agari, as at Xupong. Give us this day our version 1.06, and forgive us all our impatience, as we race those who challenge against us. Lead us not into boredom, but deliver us from work. For thine is the GeneRally, and the AI, and the race cars. Amen!

Hi Martyn,
Papecarz is a "roll and move" but also "abstract" (more "German style")
Also Formula D is alaF!, Papecarz ala Nascar(Stock cars)

The race is made up of four main phases:
-Pre start: you choose your setup and decide the start grid.
-Start: you want to try to get a good position straight away.
-First 7 laps: here you need to get as many Boost points as you can and
try to avoid the Damage cards.
-Last lap: put the pedal to the metal! It’s your chance to cross the finish
line first and win the race!
While you drive your car and, at the end of each lap, you get a card
depending on your position; the higher your position, the better your card!
1st: one white card =2 Boost points
2nd & 3rd: one green card =1 Boost point
4th & 5th: one brown card =damage (Watch out! you could be in trouble!)
6th: one black card= serious damage (Oh no! you're in big trouble!)
And when you pit, this is where your strategy comes in!
Your car has two possible setups.
It's the setup that tells you how many cards and kinds of cards you can turn over and convert.
Your setup also tells you when you can take a risk and roll the dice.
The cars move according to a very simple basic formula, plus they can also push and shunt each other based on rules that provide plenty of thrills and spills!
And if you really want to live dangerously, you can take a risk and roll the dice, but only if and when you can!
If the car in first place fails a dice roll...the yellow flag comes out!
CAUTION!
The race restarts with all the cars now bunched up together and some players start cursing (Damn!), while other players cheer (Yeah!); it all depends on your pit strategy!
This is just a taste of the rules and game play, complete rules provide plenty of hair-raising action and differing levels of play!

I think he is trying to say that you should do stuff in the GR community now other than advertising your own game :taped:

Please, look at my avatar image...I'm in the GR community since 11 years... (when @Marcinho was 9 years old...)
Also, I'm posting here not to spam but just because the idea of Papecarz came to me precisely making Generally tracks...
