[cir] Bogstone Park

Post by A1 Aaron »

Hi guys, my first track in a while as i've been concentrating on CoM but here it is, Bogstone Park. Just so you know the PoV in the screenshot is different to that in the zip. As usual dont forget to comment but more importantly enjoy!

Cool track. I like very much the pits that are in the shadow of the gates. But these gates that cover up the first corner are a little bit bad I think. Also, whether the AI line is really too fast, whether the checkpoints are badly placed because I finished 6th after 8KM on this with Fechnas WTCC '10 pack some cars that I'll not name because some people could think that I'm doing advertising. :flip: Anyway, I think the checkpoints are placed just too strictly... I'm sure that AI80 can't beat me :D However, this is morning and my cofe is not empty yet so... :coffee:

Cool track. I like it I think

And some places are a bit empty :hide:

Thanks :D glad you like it. Just looked at the checkpoints they are all placed on or inside the sunk tyres so if you dont hit them you should be fine. And the AI line was from my fastest lap of the track in Lorenzo's F1 2010 cars so i dunno how thats happened i don't have a problem i can keep up fine ;)

The track is very neat and has some sort of it's own atmosphere. :bg: That upper part with all the buildings is obviously the most interesting part of the track, the rest is a bit empty IMO. Also the track is too wide for my taste, but I mostly hotlap, so I might not be the right one to comment about that. One more thing is, that the entire track is enclosed in 2 long walls. You should break up these long lines (like in case of emergency) and maybe fill the inside of the track with some buildings.

Otherwise it's a good track, keep it up.

Dislike: The gate in turn one, I'm loosing a lot of speed here because the gates are overlapping the corner. :sorry:

Like: the Hmap, fantastic work!
It's really great to drive on this track, it has an undescribable "flow".
I mean it's not easy using the hmap on the track, there's always the possibillity that the cars are flying out ouf the corners, but you did a great job on this. :bg:

Thanks :D :D :D
I put the gates in before i changed the PoV to be lower and it's the main feature of the track so i couldnt get rid of it. Although now i think of it i could have just changed the PoV a bit to suit it.

And when i designed the track i tried to make the corners flow but i think the Hmap just fell into place after lol.

Not trying to sound bigheaded or anything, but possibly my best track so far??? What do you think?

I also liked your Smirdoff track, but this one's better, so Mr. Dent, I have to admit this is your best one so far.

By starting GeneRally, searching the A1 Aaron-Tracks-folder, right-click on any of your Flins tracks (FlinsMureaux, Flinsnorth, Flinssouth, Flins+) for the track info....voila!
Easy, isn't it?

Very good track. But the stand is really too blocking. I propose to move the stand to left, where is enough space, if you'll make softly shorter the walling near kerb at beginning of s/f line. Then it will work with this PoV, which generally fitting this track well. :2c:
