I might be able to do the English commentated version for you, you can check out some of my GR videos to see my commentating style (search NAGRCA TV on Youtube).zgr wrote:I tried some new things, as I already announced in 2014 I think, now he will have broadcast of the races...
This is only the first test, but what you think? Of course I got to improve on that
The race isn't necessary here, only the in-game picture
Who wants to make commentator for the races?
I could make a german and maybe an english on (but my englisch isn't that good)
But maybe someone else want to make it feel free to join

I willRobertRacer wrote:A good idea, but if you're making the videos make the GR sound much quieter. On PC Volume 1 with YT volume full it was already very loud.
If you do commentary, you should do english, because it's the most known language on this forum, altrough we aren't all native speakers.RobertRacer wrote:zgr wrote:I tried some new things, as I already announced in 2014 I think, now he will have broadcast of the races...

Yeah! I love video replays. And this looks very promising and I'm really looking forward to it.zgr wrote:I tried some new things, as I already announced in 2014 I think, now he will have broadcast of the races...

I first used Hypercam, but the problem is, that I can't make the sounds over speakers, means it only record over my microphone, which is a very awful soundRudyOosterndijk wrote:- using the latest free version of Hypercam (no watermarks, runs quite efficiently)
Thanks for this idea.slowing down the replay
I made almost the same thing with replay from one race in FormulaGP 2014. But the video is slower than it should because of my PC:RudyOosterndijk wrote:I'd just recommend a couple of things that worked best on my 7-year-old hardware:
- running GeneRally in a window and not on a full screen
- using the latest free version of Hypercam (no watermarks, runs quite efficiently)
- recording only a section of the screen helps performance issues (I made sure that section had the same dimension as the final 720p YouTube video)
- slowing down the replay allows you to lower the framerate by the same factor; recording will take you longer but the result will be smoother when you speed up the video in your editing programme; but then: audio recording might be done separately
- depending on your hardware configuration, it might make sense to capture full pictures, which helps your recording performance but results in a huuuuge file that your computer can't handle running an editing programme; instead you might want to capture using a codec. For me h264 with custom settings turned out to be a very good choice
