I've got the feeling that maclape didn't beat my time by a larger margin just to be able to beat it once again soon

In fact Maclape got beaten in the 2015 Pre-Season test by Fiolek by a similar close margin. But Fiolek never came that close again

Week 2 of testing starts now!
I have received your feedback, which was mostly positive. Only a few people didn't particularly like the understeery car in qualifying and the relatively high tyre wear during the race. But overall your feedback was very positive.
So right now we are working on small adjustments to the dry cars and the settings (both fuel mass and tyre wear). Depending on how marginal they turn out to be, I will decide if I put them up for another test or release them with the final pack before Australia.
Concerning the wet weather physics we will come up with 2 different proposals, maybe later today maybe tomorrow. Unfortunately there are so many birthdays these days that I haven't been able to update the car pack.

No times so far. But here are the QF results of week 1:Rennfahrer wrote:Your first dry times so far?
There weren't too many races, however. So all I can say is: Yankess leads the way with 11mins 1sec, 5 seconds quicker Mszostus and a good minute in front of EA piova.

Kuba, Happy412. How many sandbags do you had in your cars when you made your fastest lap?

was 0.02s slower then you. Not disappointed. I don't like Hungary, too narrow turn combinations.

Let's squeeze in another week of testing!
Unfortunately, I didn't have too much time for the physics last week. So it is no surprise that only Rennfahrer (20.42) and Boblopette (20.84) wanted to give it a go on the dry Hockenheimring.
Here are now the wet physics in two very slightly different versions - one for the red car and one for the yellow. I have another one in the pipeline but let's just see how you like them.

And my driver avatar?
The driver avatars have been completely remade - no photos or numbers, just cartoon-like profile pictures. If your avatar is missing, just come back during the next couple of days.
Take a look at this Google album and click on the info button.
What is different to testing?
The distance in Qualifying has been reduced to 5 laps per attempt. The car physics have been very slightly modified and the fuel mass in Qualifying has increased to 40 kg.
Qualifying begins on Monday and ends on Wednesday at 22:00 (UTC). Races start on Friday and end on Sunday at 22:00 (UTC). In order to take part in the ongoing session you now have to log in first. Practice tracks including individual grid slots are released on Thursday.

Awful time from me, I wonder id it will be more than 1 second behind leaders... I hate the corner 6 most of all GeneRally circuits...

Melbourne isn't the right place to resume career after summer break. I managed to make nice and slow race here with one major mistake, no hopes for points. But good to be back.
Re: PGR F1 World Championship 2016 [HL/Race] [Login]
Pretty average effort for me too. 5 secs slower than my PB after murdering my tires (and race time) dealing with 2 AIs in the last few laps. First stint felt slow as hell.

Race done. Pretty good drive, with relatively few unforced errors, but AIs caused some troubles for me twice - one lucky save after grazing the wall - and naturally didn't allow me to build the pace during the second stint. Around 5 secs slower than my projected race time, but I'm really happy with this since I've never felt particularly good or confident around this track.

OK, don't count me. I didn't expect many traffic jams on the road during vacations comeback and I'm not able to do my race today...
