This car looks suspiciously familiar.
I could be wrong but it looks like he is just modifying my Weston Typhoon or ARC Venom based on the front or rear end.

I am currently working on the first update to The Garage (actually, I started updating it quite a while ago, but now things are taking shape). I keep in mind all the requests, yet there are some cars with which I'm struggling (with F40 taking the lead ) so don't expect to see them all, but I'll try to fulfill your requests at least partially. Cars to be included I can confirm by now are:
Abarth OT 1300
Dodge Coronet Super Bee
Dodge Viper GTS '96
Duesenberg SJ
Ferrari 166 S
Ferrari 330 P4
Ford Mustang VI
Italdesign Scighera
Lamborghini Diablo SV
Lotus Elan S4
Lotus Elise II
Lotus Europa 47
Mercedes 300SLR Coupe
Mercedes SLS AMG
Morgan Plus 8
Nissan S30 (Fairlady Z)
Peugeot RCZ (facelift)
Plymouth Road Runner Superbird
Porsche 918
Porsche 959
Porsche Carrera GT
Talbot-Lago T-150C SS
Triumph Spitfire Mk4
Volvo S60 (facelift)

Major breakthrough!
zonda.png
I've finally developed that additional The Garage functionality in form of brief information tables that might be a quite significant help for all The Garage users. The design is and will remain simple, but I might change/add something if you have some better idea of how to improve their looks. Some explanations of what these values actually mean and how to interpret them:

Top Speed: measured in game with TrackTool on one high speed track created specially for that purpose. Units: GeneRally's km/h.
Acceleration: measured in the same way as top speed, it shows how much time it takes to reach 100 km/h.
Downforce: pretty much the same number you can see in Car Editor next to the "Downforce" box, rounded a bit.
Cornering: like above, but it's "Balance" this time.
Grip: the same, it's merely CE's "Grip".

At the bottom there are some specs about the real car, model year, layout and power and kerb weight in real life units. Then there are car's Performance Index and Class, which is actually based on PI. One major thing to remember is that the Grip (and partially also Cornering) rating is not a complete measure of how will the car behave on track, but rather it measures sort of mechanical or technological potential the car has in order to handle well, but its final performance will also depend on its weight (lighter car with the same Grip will be easier to drive) and power.

So that's a quick introduction to the new update, which will be released tomorrow, hopefully. Stay tuned.

I have a lot of learning :worried: and I don't have so much time to make something new, but in any freetime I am going to make a pack of WRC 2017 cars (and maybe a few stages) :rally:

I decided to give an another try to my carmaking skills. It will be a pack of 30's roadsters (oldies! :greybeard: ). The first one will be MGJ4, which will probably serve as a base model. What do you think about it? It misses front lights, but I know I will have to do some tweaking.

Already working, I see...
Everything looks great, apart from the nose, which bugs me a bit. But I guess, there's just nothing you could do, to be honest  ... I guess you'd need another poly, which from where I seet it, it's impossible really...

But nevertheless, looks great though :bg:

I've got one spare polygon, but I'd need another vertex if I wanted to make it a bit more detailed. I prefer to have 'golden' plates on the front wing, so the nose must have been simplified, but it's noticeable only from the close distance, so I'll keep it like that. Or maybe will change it to something like this, which looks more natural:

Generally speaking, the new front wings shape demands another vertex to be used on them so that makes modelling a bit more difficult than last year, but we'll see how it goes. I guess Red Bull/Toro Rosso/Force India will be quite tricky.

IMO, it does look slightly better...

Yeah, I figured it too. But we'll see, maybe the cars will look different and it'll be easier...

A question:
The front wing is made of 6 polygons and 4 vertexes, right? If so, you could remove one black vertex.

I could, but that's the change in front wings that I'm talking about, you need that very vertex to make an "arrow". The other (hidden) vertex is not necessary for the shape, but I wouldn't make the golden plates without it.

You don't have to get rid of the arrow shape. I meant something like this:

I thought about that before but I feared the wing would be too thin. I tried it now and it is quite thin indeed, but overall, is rather acceptable. I'll check later if it causes some flickering which might be a drawback potentially. I don't know whether I'll use that trick in Sauber, but it might be helpful later with other cars, so thanks for the suggestion.

You're welcome, glad to help :) .
I thought that it might look thin as well and if it looks that bad, than yeah stick with the original look (or the updated, whichever you prefer).
