Hi everyone. Longtime GR fan here, posting for the first time. I used to build all my cars in Rhino and Alias, but I can't find the directions on how to do that now. I used Juan's Car Editor, and it's great, but I'm still finding that I miss using my CAD.
From what I recall, the polygon/vertex limits must be observed, and the normals must be pointed outward, just as in Juan's. Then the file has to be exported as an certain file type, but I don't remember which one. Once that is done, the file extension needs to be renamed as a .car file.
If anyone has the instructions on how to make a car in a CAD program, I'd appreciate it if you let me know! Race on!

Re: CAD car tutorial
Thanks Michov. I already have and use Juan’s Car Editor, which is excellent. What I’m looking for is instructions on how to make a car without using Juan’s. I can use Rhino or Alias, but I don’t recall what file format ti export it in, and how to make it a .car file. That’s what I’m looking for.

That is beyond my paygrade.
