Gravel, tarmac, snow. Whatever the surface, you'll find it here.

[rwl] [cir] Nivelles-Baulers

Post by Alex »

You may have seen this in the WIP thread with early beta pictures but finally 26 hours later is done! About the track:
In 1972 F1 moved to Nivelles-Baulers for the Belgian GP. They also did this in 1974.
Not many events decided to host at this track so it lost money and degenerated. Karts and Dirtbikes raced here until 1980 when the surface became unraceable. In late 1981 the circuit license expired for Nivelles-Baulers so it was officially dead.
Between 1980 and 1998 many people raced illegal laps there with their cars and had some fun.
In 1999 the pit building was demolished.
In 2003 it was started to be built into an industrial estate.
In 2005 the transformation was complete. The basic track shape still exists only it has new tarmac and is civilised. I wonder if anybody will start street racing there?
Here is a replica of the track created in GR. An alternate camera angle is provided so you can pit easier.

Do you mean 26 hours of actual work? That would be too much even for a trackmaster :O

I strongly suggest you to check some tutorials :bg:

Are you sure?

About the track. It's better than you last track but you should still look at some tutorials. :bg:
You could make the track alot better just by putting some more time into them. Like smoothing the Hmap in pit's and delete those office blocks so you can actually see where the pits are. :bsmile:
