[cir] Partikol

Post by AleksiNir »

Introducing my newest track...

:cflag: Partikol :cflag:

I started making this track about a month ago, first it was progressing very slowly, but a few days ago I got to the mood of trackmaking.
It's a quite fast track. I think it doesn't look very much like my older tracks, since I used very different dithering technique on grass than usually. Also unlike usually on my tracks, it doesn't have very much walls. I like this style very much myself and it's the first track since Kiquls-Ehab where I'm satisfied to the result :yummy:

World size: 150
Track length: 390

Comment and enjoy! :cool2: (inside the "partikol" storm)

I Love this pist..the Hmap gives it something difficult that is the best thing you can find in a track (for me) :wow:

The H-Map is a real challenge, for me it seemed like it changed from lap to lap!
One time you do a perfect cornering, the next lap you're drifting out on the grass.
Difficult but great! :bg:

The layout is also very nice, but I'd have left the gate out, you can't see some of the cars at the start.

Thanks from the comment thecactusman and TlN :) I was thinking hardly if I should leave the gate or not but in the end I decided to leave it. Matter of taste I think ;)

I just made an

UPDATE - v1.1

Just a small scenery change in the middle area. Both versions can be downloaded from first post if you prefer the older - 1.1 in screenshot.

The track has amazing flow and this style with less walls, it's more natural looking (though not so realistic). The gate might be a bit on the way in start but it doesn't offend much.

Though that shortcut isn't so helpful :(

My first feeling after seeing this track first time was "Isn't it a Dicrette?".

Yes, they do have similar layouts, specially the left side. Dicrette was what inspirated me to create this circuit. If there is any else similiarities besides the layout (and cliff style), they are coincidental. :bg:

Anyways, thanks from the comments, haq, Quklis and Cristiano :cool2: In future I'll try to create tracks with (more or less) less walls than before :yummy: Any more comments? :)

Maybe little bit another PoV would help to decrease this impression. :2c:
