I chose not to re-release the majority of my old work as it is not to a good standard - I am a car maker, not a track maker, for the majority of the time. There are a couple of half-decent tracks that I may eventually re-release.
I know, i just thought that naming every track to aach wasnt a good thing.

I would like to hear your opinions about the screenshots I make when restoring other authors tracks.

In the beginning I was making 800 x 600 big pictures containing 4 (2x2) track pics (400 x 300 for each track)
Lately I'm making 800 x 600 big pictures containing 16 (4x4) track pics (200 x 150 for each track)

With 16 pics in one I achieve a lower amount of screenshots per author, keeping everything more concise, however making 4 pics in one gives you a better quality picture - tracks preview.

I already know opinions from some of you guys but hearing some more from the others can not hurt :D

I don't care about conciseness at all, I would prefer bigger pictures.
I like short, simple signatures!

Do you not have the Italy track he made. It was released with a car aswell with the plan of starting a championship?
Hannu, who art in Finland, Räbinä be thy name. Sim racers come, races are won, at Agari, as at Xupong. Give us this day our version 1.06, and forgive us all our impatience, as we race those who challenge against us. Lead us not into boredom, but deliver us from work. For thine is the GeneRally, and the AI, and the race cars. Amen!

Nope, I don't have that one. I would appreciate if you could send it to me.

What was the name of the track that had 3 levels? It had a road, then a bridge above it, then another bridge above that one. I know I have the track, I've just forgotten the name.
Look to the left ----------------> that's to the right, mate :(

GRACE S1 - 25th out of 47 drivers and 14th out of 18 teams. Not bad for a first season eh?

I'll have to download the latest (new) GR build and try these out tonight for old times' sake.
Great to see you back :bg: Make sure you check your restored tracks to see if I missed some ;)

It's all thanks to TuomoH, who was practically a hoarder of the GR world. :P He collected every addon from 2002 - 2004, and collected a lot of tracks and a few cars from 2005 onwards.

Sir Rally

Post by Lukeno94 »

I have another one of his tracks, A-RoundAbout which came from that 5678 trackpack or whatever it was that was shown to the forum a long time ago. Unfortunately, as it was from that pack, I don't have its original zip or readme (if it had one).

Yes, I'm aware of that. I have 19 more track files from him but without readmes and no contact to Sir Rally. As soon as I can get in contact with him somehow I will arrange the re-uploading of rest of his tracks....

LongBow, I recall sending you one last track in my last e-mail to you, titled W.F.500 (noS RACE), that's not present in your batch of re-uploaded tracks by vira lata. Did that one turn out not to belong to him after all?

-bump-

My favourite track of all time 'Deepwood Hills' doesn't seem to be on this forum (when I search it up), plus the track has no author. So what do I do with it? Or if anybody knows here is a screenshot of the track:

I'm not sure If I understood correctly...do you want that track to be restored here or you just want to have it in your collection?

My understanding is he wants to know the author of the track, and he wants someone to restore it here - he seems to be saying that he already has it. ;)
