[ral] Donut Plains

Post by Glen »

Donut Plains.jpg
Hello, I'm here with my Donut Plains track.

It's the track than you can find in the Mushroom Cup in the Classic Super Mario Kart on SNES.
I hope you will enjoy it.

I'm really proud of the Pit lane, I had to find a place that does not disfigure the landscape. I hope you will like it! ;)

PS: It's possible to short-cut Like in the game, but it does not work all the time.

not bad :bg: just a thought that crossed my mind though, maybe you could recreate the rainbow style walls like in the map overview by lining people up next to one another, it would take ages, but the result might be effective :2c:

I think he means putting many persons where there are walls which should recreate the impression of a coloured wall ;)

It's cool that you've made a track from Super Mario Kart, Glen. :bg: Hope there will be more tracks like this. :D

At least in the original game, according to the screenshots, the walls are so far that you wouldn't be running into them while normal racing. If they are on racing line, then it's not ok.

It's not "really" part of the track - same reason why rally stage tracks in GR are allowed to have people so close to the roads.

Go ahead! The Donut Plains looks nice btw :) (but with a dithering effect, it would be a 1000 Lakes-styled Donut Plains, which would make it a WRC rallycross track with a SMK layout).

Oh, would you like to do the second Donut Plains track?
Y'all, I just woke up... what did I miss?

Well I would recommend a couple more rows to try and make a complete wall, but the effect is quite nice and better than I expected. :)
Look to the left ----------------> that's to the right, mate :(
