[stc] Perros

Post by Glen »

Hey! I'm here with a new track : Perros
Perros.jpg
It's, I think, a street circuit. The road is the one of GTA 1, like the sidewalk.
It's a difficult track because The sidewalk is raised up compared to the road. And the cars slide on the pire's.
I spend the last 3 hours to adjust th AI line and to find a good place for the pits.

I hope you will like it. It's better to use heavy or slow cars.

I like it, nice, small, and fun to drive.

The only bad thing is the concrete walls on the staircase thing, I keep crashing into them so it's best to play without damage. But again, lots of my "flaws" are just my sucky driving.

Thats why programming took so much time. You have to brake befor the steps, and you shouldn't go to fast, otherwise you will jump against the wall.

EDIT: here a track tutorial

If you want to make more difficult circuit then this add sunk tires at some corners of track.
I think that then would be more difficult and funnier to drive.

Would lose the purpose of the track, wouldn't it?

Downloaded, not yet tested but judging by the screenshot and especially the tutorial I'm sure I'll love it. :bg:

The track is difficult enougth!! :) And the sidewalk works make you jump like sunk tires
Sunktires.jpg
For exemple, I ad Shunktires inside a corners. The point of view is from the Point "1". They help to jump over the corner. before that, they were armco walls and they was deadly.
Map.jpg
And here is an overview from the point of view "2"
Sidewalk.jpg
You can clearly see than the sidewalk is higher than the road

AND BE CARREFUL!!! The ground of the pits is like oil!!!

I noticed it in more cases lately (e.g. HJ's latest track or Midnightrunner's road track). It's deadly simple, if people will not use the feature by honest way, the rating will simply be disabled for these persons. ;)

BTW that's really lovely track.

I'm sorry for the double-post and bump, :sorry:

but i really didn't knowed than Maciej did a GTA track before me. Here
And I didn't copy the road skin and the sidewalk. I can give the original 256 colors road files.

The whole angular streets asthetic trope is one of the most generic ones in all of trackmaking. Maciej1 doesn't hold a trademark on it nor the GTA asthetic.

Really, no one would've made that connection until you just did. I think you're kicking up a fuss over nothing.

I love this track. If you pick the right car, it can get so chaotic and fun!
