Post your real cars
As some of us have entered the all too irritating world of owning a car, let's see what rides we have around here. No dreamers or fantasists please, just real cars you have for now.
Now in ownership of two broken cars, woo...
First of all, the driveshaft-less 260Z. Having wiped it's driveline out almost entirely means it has been sitting for four months.
The Calibra decided to do a big fat backfire in yesterday's horrific storm conditions, which found the weak point in the muffler.

Yeah, why not? Might be handier for those not allowed on the road as yet...
Does your family have an interesting car that, maybe in the future, may be stolen by yourself? Post it here also.

Re: Post your real cars
Car? I don't even have a bicycle. And don't have age to drive (17. 18 is needed to drive here).
Also, no money.
You know, most brazilians dreams with the day they will have a car.
A compact, maybe one of those cool-looking convertibles, or a wagon. Also, brazilians are adopting the tuning.
Note: This is pure fiction (or not), and you shouldn't consider this as serious. In Brazil, there are (not much) rich people, there are big cities, small cities, and there are no monkeys everywhere like some yellow people say.

Heh, shame that cardboard car didn't come together Adam...
Re: Post your real cars
To be more serious, here is a picture of not my car, but one very much like it:
(my car is blue, and much dirtier, and has a license plate!)
Anyway that model, the Alero, is just about the most average car I have ever seen

Re: Post your real cars
My dad's car is a BMW 330d (E46 generation). The car is pretty fast and it has a very good mileage thanks to its V6 diesel engine. My father has hit 150mph a few times. The most scariest time was close to midnight, in a 2-lane motorway during a 450 miles-long trip that we made in just 4h 30' though we had dinner!!!
I really recomend a BMW 330d if you want a really fast and fuel mileage-friendly family sedan.
Btw, my bike is a Suzuki Katana AY50, it's a small-wheel scooter that can only hit 45mph...

Re: Post your real cars
very nice machine, Monaro. Just the pipe on front is out of my taste. But I can understand, that it may be useful to prevent having your front bumper scratched by colliding objects ignoring traffic order like are jumping kangaroos or playing children.
And btw, what's missing to your 260Z? Is the driveshaft so rare part on market?

Re: Post your real cars
My apologies, I mentioned it in one forum but forgot to post the same on this one. The roo bar has now been taken off. Certainly not needed in suburbia, but since it was always a country car, it's a necessity out there.Ivo Porč wrote:very nice machine, Monaro. Just the pipe on front is out of my taste. Today has seen progress. I have so far removed the front grille, the hood latch system and also the "transmission cooler". Someone has cheated somewhere and used an A/C accumulator unit. It blocked the entire radiator and I'm having big cooling issues now, so out it comes for a proper smaller unit.
As for the grille, that's also been renewed in an original way. Some leftover Tamiya paint has been applied.
The 260Z really needs to be put on a tower lift to investigate, it just simply couldn't get done any other way.
