[cir] Zandfaart

Post by Darjo »

What's up community, here's my new track. It's inspired by the historical version of Zandvoort, as some of you might have noticed. In fact the layout is kinda the same as the historical track, but the scenery is completely different.

Comments or suggestions are always appreciated! :D

I was very surprised by seeing this at previews and the tweaks on walls are well done, only I'd rather keep it in concrete everywhere. :-) At some places there are few more details to tweak (hmap under booths in top middle, wall on inside on last curve), but it's nothing, what could cover the funny track by shadow. :bsmile:

Hopefully just a warm-up for you! :bg:

Thanks cocney, I'm flattered :D

Well, yea, I guess this was kind of a warm up as you say... I have one more track coming out soon-ish and I have some inspiration for one or two tracks.

Any more comments/suggestions? :D

The hmap really surprised me in the first laps, it shamefully threw me to the hay bales in the top-left and bottom-right corners. :ouch: After that those corners turned out to be very challenging and fun to drive, as well as the part between them, where you can drive fast but also have to be careful. :hyper:
The scenery is good, but nothing special. It seems a bit unfinished in some places though, for example no pavement in the paddock looks odd, and there seems to be a cliff without a texture in the left edge of the track.
