[gtc] [cpk] Haruna's GT Car Pack v.2 -WIP-

Post by Haruna »

Haruna's GT Car Pack V2 is a rethinking of my original GT Car Pack, with more focus on real-world vehicles and classes, as well as improved physics. That's the basic outline of the whole thing, anyhow.

The pack for now contains various cars that are or have competed in the FIA GT3 class or equivalent national racing classes. Every car has unique driving characteristics, and both real and user-defined liveries for players to use.

Cars are organized by class first, then Performance Index from lowest to highest (more on that later).

Click on the images to download the cars you want. Or, go to the bottom of this post.

2011 Audi R8 GT3 LMS Ultra
Image
The Audi R8 GT3 LMS Ultra is an update to the 2009 Audi R8 LMS, which was specifically developed for competition use in the FIA GT3 Championship. The R8 GT3 features a 5.2 liter V10 like many road-going models. Due to technical regulations, however, the R8 GT3 is rear-wheel-drive, not four-wheel-drive like the road cars. Due to this modification, the R8 GT3's handling is quite a bit sharper than that of the road-going model. As a result, the R8 GT3 is a bit eager to slide when pushed the wrong way, and requires careful and deliberate inputs to drive quickly and safely. It's for the precise driver.

Specifications
570 BHP from a 5.2 liter V10 (atmospheric)
Mid-engine / Rear wheel drive
3 Sizes (inches): 176.0 L x 78.1 W x 47.0 H
Wheelbase (inches): 104.3
Dry weight: 1250 kilograms without driver
49% frontal weight
Racing slick tires
Tire widths f/r: 310/330 mm
-699 lbs of lift @ 200 km/h
Drag Coefficient: 0.47
Power to Weight Ratio: 0.46 HP/KG
Acceleration Rating: 4.7 out of 10
Speed Rating: 7.7 out of 10
Cornering Rating: 5.8 out of 10
Grip Rating: 4.1 out of 10
Performance Index: 637/B
Racing Classification: FIA GT3
Liveries Available:
- #7 Audi Sport R8 LMS Cup (GT Asia)
- #32 Phoenix Racing R8 LMS Ultra (VLN)

2012 Nissan-Nismo GT-R GT3 (R35)
Image
The newest active car in the category, this Japanese heavyweight is based off of the infamous R35-generation GT-R. It is the second turbocharged car in the class, being powered by a modified version of the 3.7 liter turbo V6 making 520 horsepower. Like a few formerly-4WD competitors, the GT-R GT3 also dropped its highly advanced four-wheel-drive system to comply with regulations. Despite weighing a staggering 1300 kilograms, the GT-R GT3 has impeccable handling, with mild-mannered cornering manners that lean towards mild pushing (understeer). Due to its heavy weight, the GT-R GT3 has one of the worst power to weight ratios in its class, and is therefore not ideal for stop-and-go layouts. However, the forgiving handling traits make it an ideal car for rookie and veteran racers alike.

Specifications
520 BHP from a 3.7 liter V6 (twin turbo)
Front-engine / Rear wheel drive
3 Sizes (inches): 184.9 L x 78.6 W x 51.9 H
Wheelbase (inches): 109.4
Dry weight: 1300 kilograms without driver
51% frontal weight
Racing slick tires
Tire widths f/r: 310/330 mm
-946 lbs of lift @ 200 km/h
Drag Coefficient: 0.49
Power to Weight Ratio: 0.40 HP/KG
Acceleration Rating: 4.2 out of 10
Speed Rating: 7.1 out of 10
Cornering Rating: 5.9 out of 10
Grip Rating: 5.0 out of 10
Performance Index: 639/B
Racing Classification: FIA GT3
Liveries Available:
- #22 JRM Racing (FIA GT)
- #3 S Road NDDP (Super GT GT300)

2011 BMW Z4 GT3 (E89)
Image
Loved by anime and Need for Speed nerds and loathed by everyone else, the 2011 BMW Z4 GT3 is a vast improvement over the older-generation models. Unlike some GT3 cars, this generation of Z4 GT3s does not use the standard straight 6, but instead utilizes a 4 liter V8 motor. The engine develops a respectable 515 horsepower. When paired with the sharp chassis, the Z4 GT3 is a well-balanced mix of power and handling. Although the car is a bit snappy, the Z4 GT3 can easily be managed by a large number of drivers, and is a great all-rounder regardless.

Specifications
515 BHP from a 4.0 liter V8 (atmospheric)
Front-engine / Rear wheel drive
3 Sizes (inches): 172.7 L x 79.1 W x 47.6 H
Wheelbase (inches): 98.8
Dry weight: 1190 kilograms without driver
49% frontal weight
Racing slick tires
Tire widths f/r: 310/330 mm
-889 lbs of lift @ 200 km/h
Drag Coefficient: 0.49
Power to Weight Ratio: 0.43 HP/KG
Acceleration Rating: 4.5 out of 10
Speed Rating: 7.1 out of 10
Cornering Rating: 6.2 out of 10
Grip Rating: 4.8 out of 10
Performance Index: 653/B
Racing Classification: FIA GT3
Available Liveries:
- #808 Studie-Glad / Good Smile Racing (Super GT)
- #4 Project Mirai/Good Smile Racing (Super GT)
- #5 Saudi Falcons by Schubert Motorsport (24 Hours of Dubai)

Haruna, use proper attachments like handbook says, please, instead some mediafire stored, which will be gone in few weeks or months in better case. The last thing we're interested in are pointless topics due broken links.

I've had a MediaFire account for years and have not lost a single file. I think it'll be fine.

Same Strava thought and his tools are from larger part gone. Doesn't change anything, that you should follow the handbook.

I'm here to secure, that the things, which people wish to share here with others, will stay working and available, I'm not going to waste by time by general relying on a 3rd party service, which I cannot influence by any way and which can disappear from night to night due any reason (hack attack, bankruptcy, blackouts, hardware failures, judicial orders like on megaupload etc). I think we have good reasons, why we insist on this and and also provide reasonable options to satisfy this functions in the forum features, certainly in this case (of course in reasonable particular cases like huge files some appropriate toleration exists).

Introducing the next two cars, the Panoz Esperante GTLM GT2 and the McLaren MP4-12C GT3.

Introduced in 2011 as a racing edition of the limited-run MP4-12C supercar, the GT3 version was developed for use in a variety of national and international sports car racing series, most notably the Blancpain Endurance Series. While the engine is downtuned by over 100 horsepower compared to its stock counterpart, the GT3 features a plethora of modifications that enhance the already solid handling. Overall, a very decent car in every aspect.

Panoz Esperante GTLM GT2 '09

Though the Esperante GTLM was never the most competitive of the ALMS GT2 cars, it's definitely sort of interesting to look at. The front-engine, rear-wheel drive layout lends itself to a fairly well-balanced car, and the 5.0 liter V8 gives the GTLM the most power of all the GT2 cars - a monumental output of 530 horsepower. So it's clearly fast, and nothing is overly wrong in its handling. That was good enough for the Esperante to clinch a narrow class victory at the 12 Hours of Sebring in 2006. It should be good enough for you.

Specifications
530 BHP from a 5.0 liter V8 (atmospheric)
Front-engine / Rear wheel drive
3 Sizes (inches): 185.9 L x 76.7 W x 53.2 H

Time to introduce our next contender, the rather weird Mazda RX-8 Grand-AM GT!

Mazda RX-8 Grand-AM GT '12

The tagline "GT" is a bit of a misnomer, really; this is actually a tube-frame chassis vehicle by Riley Technologies which uses the Mazda RX-8 R3 as its' costume of choice. Additionally, unlike many "by the book" GT racing cars, this RX-8 sports a completely non-standard three-rotor Wankel rotary engine. Technicalities pushed aside, however, the RX-8 Grand-AM GT is a solid, if somewhat power-lacking, package. Its older siblings won the GT class honors in the 2008 and 2010 Daytona 24 Hours endurance race, so clearly it's a pretty good car. But compared to GT3 cars typically making over 500 horsepower, the "meager" output of 425 horses seems a little underwhelming, and results in a somewhat poor top speed. Still, give it a go anyway. Anything that's won a 24 hour race of reasonable prestige is worth a try, isn't it?

Specifications
425 BHP from a 2.1 liter R3 (turbocharged)
Front-engine / Rear wheel drive
3 Sizes (inches): 177.7 L x 73.5 W x 47.8 H
Wheelbase (inches): 106.3
Dry weight: 1045 kilograms without driver
51% frontal weight
Racing slick tires
Tire widths f/r: 285/305 mm
-944 lbs of lift @ 200 km/h
Drag Coefficient: 0.46
Power to Weight Ratio: 0.41 HP/KG
Acceleration Rating: 4.2 out of 10
Speed Rating: 6.5 out of 10
Cornering Rating: 6.0 out of 10
Grip Rating: 5.0 out of 10
Performance Index: 629/B
Racing Classification: FIA GT3 (Sub-class: Grand-Am GT)

Chevrolet Camaro Grand-Am GT '10

dp-camaro-gagt.png (2.81 KiB) Viewed 15171 times
The Chevrolet Camaro GT.R/Grand-Am GT is the natural follow-up to the 2008 Camaro GS Race Car Concept. In a similar vein to the RX-8 GA-GT, this Camaro GT.R is prepared by Riley Technologies Inc., with a tube-frame chassis and bodywork loosely resembling a stock vehicle. Given that it is powered by a 6.2 liter V8 that churns out 530 horsepower, the Camaro GT.R is no slouch. This heavyweight GT can hang tough when the going gets rough.

Specifications
530* BHP from a 6.2L V8 (atmospheric)
Front-engine / Rear wheel drive
3 Sizes (inches): 190.4 L x 75.5 W x 54.2 H
Wheelbase (inches): 112.3
Dry weight: 1210 kilograms without driver
53% frontal weight
Racing slick tires
Tire widths f/r: 305/325 mm
-931 lbs of lift @ 200 km/h
Drag Coefficient: 0.47
Power to Weight Ratio: 0.44 HP/KG
Acceleration Rating: 4.6 out of 10
Speed Rating: 6.5 out of 10
Cornering Rating: 5.7 out of 10
Grip Rating: 4.9 out of 10
Performance Index: 629/B
Racing Classification: FIA GT3 (Sub-class: Grand-Am GT)
