I am happy you finished Wigeno :). And Japan has very original look, so different from BBA :bg: very "generallish" :D.

I meant the challenge in sense which Dan talks about:
Mad Dan wrote:... And Japan has very original look, so different from BBA :bg:
And he's completely right. :yummy: I think it has booked one of my ToM votes for September. :goal: Only when you mention the landscape and forest at Wigeno, maybe bigger runoffs would help you, especially at bottom edge. :scratch: But it's lot of fun to drive there, amazing two tracks, guys! :bowdown:

And now to continue in the harvest - Tantele 2012! :D

Countryside landscape with lot of leaf trees, even more bushes and gravel soil around a damn fast winding road course with pits occupying the support area of a near motocross track (where a freestyle show is held now as part of the entertainment during race day btw), maybe or maybe not loosely based on the old Spa road circuit, that's Tantele for me. I hope you'll like it. :) Huge thanks to all, who gave me an advice about it during the two years and 13 days of trying to finish it. :mrgreen:

Fantastic tracks being released here. And well done ivo for finishing tantele, it's great, so many details, the stunt show is fab and even the three houses on the right; the hedge in the concrete wall is brilliant, good to see the pitlane has improved, although I'm still not all that keen on it.

I'm glad you like it, guys! :) I chose this track, because it leaves lot of place for imagination and its realisation, it may have something to with many tracks (e.g. wiki article about GR mentions Bremgaren too) or to no one, simply nice playground for trackmaking (contrary e.g. to Canada, where is place rather for cosmetic tweaks). :mrgreen: But it's just spice, at first place I hope it's still a Tantele as I wished to keep. :)

A pit lane was the guilty one for repeated stalling of this wip during the time (AIs either didn't like hmap or it wasn't logical or nice or didn't work well together with a motocross track), this shape wasn't original intention (I was aiming to more conservative pit line), but it's compromise, which works pretty well in the end, I think. :)

Now I cannot wait to see the voting or what precisely is going to happen with the project. :yummy:

I've had exams this week every day from Monday to Friday :rolleyes:, so I haven't had much time to prepare for the voting.

But now just a little thing before the voting starts; I noticed that the versions of Belgium we have are distinctively lower quality than other tracks. Does somebody feel like making another version (preferably quickly), or do you guys think we should go with what we've got?

Also, please notify if you see a track of yours missing from the list in the 1st post. :)

I told fewtimes earlier, no hurry needed. :D

No one seems to be missing in 1st post, but I miss logic of the current order. Doesn't seems very helpful to searching and downloading our works ATM as. :scratch:

Well, no one seems eager to do a Belgium, so I think we can start the voting :) I'll be abroad for a week now so if something comes up, I'm not sure if I'll be able to answer before I come back home.

To vote, send a PM to me before 21th October. Simply say the favorite author of each track.

example:
Agari - Jukka Räbinä
Gilwan - Hannu Räbinä

The ultimate version of the following tracks are being voted, and links to each version:

Hey guys,
my name's Daniel and i started the original project over at the old RSC forums.

Great to see there's another one coming. I wish i'd had more time to contribute a few tracks aswell but unfortunately i haven't been active in a long time.

Does anyone still has the old trackpack from 2005 on their hard drive?

Greets, Daniel

I've had an exceptionally rough week with school so I haven't had the energy to get it done, but the results will come today or at least tomorrow :)

Even if it's too late, I think that this is a very nice version of Kutford. I personally very like that colorful track! It looks a little bit lige the Paul Riccard Circuit (or HTTC) in Le Castellet and it looks good! Moreover there are no concrete walls in the original Kutford-track ;)

Thanks to al who voted for my tracks :) (and thanks XYY for the Wigeno :). ) I think most of the tracks are on very high level and maybe they could be part of new official GR version :D. Somekind of Xmas version like in 1.05 days could be nice :).

Just curious, what are the compo permissions on these tracks? Are you supposed to ask each individual track creator for permission, or is permission assumed by having a release in this pack?

It's in the rules of GRIF:
9. The user, who organizes a GeneRally competition with help of a discussion topic at the forum, may use GeneRally addons released at the forum without prior explicit permission of addon's author if:
i. the author doesn't demand opposite explicitly and clearly in an introducing text of the addon in its topic, reply, readme, comment or by another remarkable and certain way in time of release;
ii. the organizing user gives credits to the author;
iii. the organizing user doesn't modify the addon without author's explicit permission with exemption of:
a. checkpoints, AI lines or starting positions, which are freely modify-able, if the author of addon track doesn't explicitly forbid this option by similar way as mentioned in section i.;
b. safe-pits customization, if the author of addon track doesn't explicitly forbid this option by same ways as mentioned in section i. and the organizing user includes download link to unedited original version of the track into track's comment, readme in competition's gamepack, competition's website or forum topic;
c. using of particular exported car from a carpack, if the author of addon carpack doesn't explicitly forbid this option by same ways as mentioned in section i. and the organizing user includes download link to unedited, original and full version of the carpack into readme in competition's gamepack, competition's website or forum topic.
