[oth] Diddywah

Post by Emil Patanen »

Hey, people  Being inspired by Kikwik's drawn tracks I thought that maybe I should also try to make a track by drawing it. What I ended up drawing is some kind of psychedelic moodflow :hippy: So, here is the result that I got.

I hope you like the track and also leave comments :)

I also expected invisible walls when racing for the first time... but it doesn't really matter though. I was surprised to find sunk tyres and road cones on the track, they're very well hidden.. :hide:
I was also surprised by the hmap in the last esses, good job!

Not really much else to say, I'm always extremely happy to see an original [oth] track like this. :bg:

I will give it a shot as soon as possible, but unfortunately not now, due to... the Ice Hockey WC, you know. :shhh: cheerleader:

Well, it looks quite cool, I like the SF-line (cut here :D ) and especially the "mouse" in top left.
Unlike egamad I didn't really have problems seeing the cones and sunktyres (well, if you pushed all the cones away, the sunktyes are really quite hard to see  ). So I think I would have liked it more if the area below a sunktyre would have been painted in grey or black for better visibility (although that would have probably destroyed some of the visual effect).

So did you draw it on paper and then scan? :o

Btw, it reminds me even more to a track by nielske (I think it was nielske) than to Kikwiks productions ;)

Nice job :bg:

(think exactly at it when I see your track !)

I'm happy to see someone else making a drawing track, that brings a fresh air in track making ! :)
It's very post modern art, strange and humoristic at the same time !
It's always difficult to make a drawing track because sometimes it's not big or small enough or not in the good position and must remake a drawing, scan it, etc... But finally we come with a unique track that nobody can remake it and with a drawing style that is very special and can face the pixel art in track making.

So, well done ! Like Egamad, I'm pleased to see original creations like this one for Generally ! :bsmile:

Remember that "to give sth. a shot" is a colloquial term for "to try sth. out". ;)

Thanks for the comments XYY and Kikwik :bsmile: I'm glad that you like the track.

It was drawn on paper, yes. But I don't have a possibility to use scanner, so I had to take a photo of the drawing and then play a little bit with Gimp to get a good enough lmap. If I would have been able to use a scanner, then the track would have ended up having a higher quality lmap.

I know. I just wanted to joke with the two meanings side of that phrase. But I fooled you instead :P

Thanks god there are no crappy invisible walls!

Great lmap, pity, that the layout isn't bit more interesting.
