[rwl] [cir] Zandvoort

Post by Bouncebackability »

Hi All,

Only my third track this year (#rusty), this one has been sat on my hard drive at about 90% for a few months, waiting to be finished, and having watched the DTM race, this seemed as good a time as any.

5 layouts included, please comment and I hope you enjoy

Cheers, BBA

edit: fixed the Oostelijk PoV

I'm happy you come back to trackmaking, BBA ; ). Layout is good, scenery is, maybe not very beautyfull, but nice done (I very like this small lakes and how you draw waves ). It's very good you decide to make (and finish) Zandvoort, we have few versions of this track, but I think this is the best :)

Just to let you know now, the track can't be fully seen in Zandvoort O in 4:3 screen ratio. I'll comment about the track later, because it's so late now, it's Thursday already in Finland...

Argh, I always do this. It is getting late now so I'll fix it tomorrow.

Thanks for the other comments guys :bg:

@ yoNnie, yeah its not the best looking track I've done, but I couldn't see what I needed to change to fix this. Part of the reason I stopped working on it so late on.

It may not be as colorful as your other tracks but it's still beautiful, looks like a painting! :yummy: When I found the wrinkles on the lakes' surface because of the wind blowing, it just blew my mind. The whole track is full of this windy, open atmosphere. But with that small detail!? Incredibly clever idea! :bg:

If something to change, I'd say maybe some more noticeable hmap dunes in landscape around or bit more care about white lines (like in top-middle), but those are only details, most likely Yonnie means something else in overall impression.

I have never thought if it would be even possible to fit Zandvoort's chicane to GR, but then it seems that you've not received your award only because of your two nice eyes... :P Great job, BBA, I hope you'll get back soon to rwl scene! ^^

Zandvoort... The only place which is not flat, and they build a race track on it :)
DTM Zandvoort 2011, the only DTM race I saw. It was boring...
But well done, the track is well made :)

Awesome-looking track, haven't yet tested it but will do so :) I'm sorry about always asking this on Zandvoort threads, but would it ever be possible to make the historic track as well? I think there isn't any good one, at least not any recent :D
EDIT: I know this template wouldn't allow that since the old track would require more space on the right, but :yummy:
