Why grass everywhere? The circuit is covered in sand, actually

It is grass, it's just that the grass is usually dead during the summer when most races are held. I know because I've been to this track many times :)

Off the top of my head this is the 4th Sonoma that I've driven on, and being a huge IndyCar fan, I wanted to test this out and give some comments.

I like that you set the track during the beautiful part of the year (grass), it's much nicer to look at that way. Also, the width of the track is perfect, we actually have to drive through the esses and kinks, unlike previous versions. The quality is fantastic, of course. The AI run real well here.

Great job!! Without question this becomes the #1 Sonoma in my folder (I keep wanting to call it Simona, LOL). I have lots of requests to finish or update the current IndyCar tracks, but this makes me happy for now.

Yes, Sonoma! I was born in San Francisco, very close to this circuit. :D

Good job as usual, Maciej. You really seem to get better with each track. :bg:

No sir, the circuit is surrounded by grass. :)

I live in the San Francisco Bay Area and have driven my car on this track.

Grass in California turns brown in the summer due to lack of rain. Almost all racing series are run in the summer months.

Maciej1, this is fantastic. I will do extensive testing to review this circuit. I'll let you know how each corner feels in terms of entry, exit and rhythm compared to real life. This is awesome. Thank you. :D

Come on Bunchies, you've been around long enough to know the rules about bumping threads. :p

Please do not share your review of the track here unless you want it to turn into Sodoma Raceway. :D

@ Black Rebel: Naturally if topic is bumped with no or very little reason (compare bunchies' with earlier bduddy's post) and a forum member (either common or from staff) notifies the guy about the rule, then it's preferred to leave the topic to fall back into its well-deserved sleep instead of further posting next rather irrelevant posts (unfortunately gentle humour isn't enough as reason :)), which would keep or increase further the general confusion. Another option would be immediate deleting the fresh posts, which bumped the topic, but it's not the way, which we would like to go. :)
