[oth] Nijunak Mushing Show Race

Post by Emil Patanen »

Hi everyone!

This track is designed for the Dog Sled car I made. This is an imaginary sled dog race track located in a fictional Nijunak village in Northern Saskatchewan in Canada. This is kind of introduction for a bigger sled dog race pack I'm planning to make. That will consist of several stages set in the cold forests of Canada :cool2:

In this track you're racing in the roads of Nijunak village. The race organizers have covered the race course fully with snow, so that the sleds are able to race on it. It has been mainly designed for races of 4 dog sleds, but, if you want to do a 6 dog sled race, it is possible too. In that case the 5th and 6th on the starting grid will start behind the others, though. I also added pits there in case you want to do some longer races, even though it's not so realistic to have pits there.

I suggest you to use Garbre's Winter palette with this and also Longbow's Ski sounds, which both can be downloaded from GR Archives, if you don't have them already.

Enjoy it and be sure to leave some comments too :)

No, but not much people have the car/dog sled for it. But I find, it is not bad. A few more curves I would build in it. 3,9/5

You just have to make dog sounds and it will be perfect :D.
Good idea, I had fun racing these dogs, although I can imagine that it will a lot better on stages in snowy forests :yummy: . I hope you'll finish them :).

However, I.. I don't know what to say - this track is good, well made and siple thus it has feel like the original GR tracks.

I hardly noticed any differences between Garbre's palette you recommended and the default one while driving FYI. Aside from that, dog sled racing seems to be fun, also in GR thanks to you. :bsmile:

The sounds surely would make the experience much better. I have to at least try to make them, but I cannot promise anything :)

I think, the dogsled race is very nice idea. It's fun to play racing with the dogs. :bg:

Hey,

this is my first post in this forum, so hello everyone!

I like your track, it's simple and small. But my fastest rounds are going through the pit line?!

hello kiwischeibe! :bsmile:

For first ... Welcome to our community! :bg: But for next time, please do not post on thread older than 1 month since last post (In this case by masa 13th March). It may confuse other members of our friendly community ;)
