Yes and no. There are some drivers that did not confirm their participation. Haselnuss was the only guy who told me he was not going to race. So there might be even more free seats. Secondly, the former Force India drivers are missing on that list.
I will update the list soon, I am just working on the stats page.
Edit: Rennfahrer is in at Toro Rosso.

10 days, 12 hours. The car will be the one found in the preseason pack.
The "real pack" will follow in the week before the first GP. Testing is limited these days.
Btw. the weather forecast will also be a surprise until the beginning of the respective GP week and in some cases the session itself (except for Australia).

So which team will you be part of in Australia?
I heard something about Lotus GP IE Racing... or was it Buka's Marussia team?

The season will begin very soon, but our vice-champion won't start again. Our PGRF1TV moderator Hurray Talker made an interview with the fast Finn. Have fun!

105 days between the first post of the thread and the actual start of the season. World record I suppose.
Anyway, I'm happy this waiting is finally over. Good luck to everybody, mates.

The most important changes to the Sporting Regulations:
- The range of weather conditions has been extended (see Articles 4 and 5). There are now dry, wet and mixed weather conditions.
- "Short-cutting" is now defined as "[leaving] the track as marked by the white lines with all four wheels, [bouncing]
off walls or [using] any other object to gain an advantage" (see Article 11.6). - If a driver disregards the speed limit or the direction of travel in the pit lane, he will be given a 10-second time penalty (see Article 11.7).
- If a driver crosses the continuous white (!) line at the pit exit, he will be given a 3-second penalty (see Article 11.8).
Settings (see Articles 4, 5, 7.2 and 8.2):
- This year mixed weather conditions will be added to the existing range of climatic conditions. This includes a new palette (mix.pal) and a new car modification for both the player's and the AI's car (e.g. Toro Rosso (m) ). A lower case (d) marks the dry weather version for both tracks and cars, a lower case (m) the mixed weather version and a lower case (w) the wet weather version.
Please do not forget to also adapt the car modifications of your AI opponents to the current weather conditions before you race! - If the weather conditions are declared "mixed" (or "mix.pal"), the session will start on a wet surface that dries up during the next couple of laps. Once a dry racing line has evolved, cars will be able to go faster.
- To meet the specific requirements of the respective weather condition, the settings will be slightly more complex this season. Apart from the palette and car modification, it's is the tyre wear that differs between all three weather conditions. For more information see Articles 7.2 and 8.2, please.
- The current weather forecast will be displayed on the official website.

I tried to do the jerez test race but when I pressed "start session" it just said "downloading track..." but nothing happened.
Now the test session isn't in the sessions list.

Be sure you use the Pack without 'Spaces' in directory name
(and therefore the whole path to generally.exe)
The test isn't necessary for the season. I send you a mail.
Three qualis arrived first day: Alonso, akouk, happy412

Can we change IA's cars to different teams (one of IA has Ferrari car, I'd like to change it to e.g. Caterham)?

Yes of course. Technically, you need to the change the cars sooner or later anyway when you are to choose the correct weather version. As long as the modification fits the weather conditions you can make the Ferrari a Caterham.kuba wrote:Can we change IA's cars to different teams (one of IA has Ferrari car, I'd like to change it to e.g. Caterham)?

Cheers MD!
I tried with the new pack but it still didn't download the track when I started the session.
Maybe I could try with chrome if I can do the test session again.

And if that doesn't work, use the classic login page that has been sent to you via mail.Mr.J wrote: I tried with the new pack but it still didn't download the track when I started the session.

So in Monaco I can cross the line because it's yellow and in Melbourne I can't casue it's white?RudyOosterndijk wrote:[*]If a driver crosses the continuous white (!) line at the pit exit, he will be given a 3-second penalty (see Article 11.7).

I talked to Mr.J about his problem and we (partially) solved it. He can use the tool. Exception: launching GeneRally.exe does not work yet.RudyOosterndijk wrote:And if that doesn't work, use the classic login page that has been sent to you via mail.Mr.J wrote: I tried with the new pack but it still didn't download the track when I started the session.

Re: PGR F1 World Championship 2012 [HL/Race] [Login] GAME+RU
Last season we were mildly criticized for punishing white line incidents randomly over the course of the year. To restrict ourselves in that matter there is this very definite white line article in the rules.Buka wrote:So in Monaco I can cross the line because it's yellow and in Melbourne I can't casue it's white?RudyOosterndijk wrote:[*]If a driver crosses the continuous white (!) line at the pit exit, he will be given a 3-second penalty (see Article 11.7).
No, you are not meant to cross that yellow Monaco line (like with all continuous lines in traffic) but - as it's not white - the penalty does not instantly need to be a 3-second penalty. As this is an exception to the rule, which is necessary under the given circumstances, I needed to paint the line in a different color.
There would have been and still will be a clarification before the Monaco Grand Prix, though.
But well spotted, hawkeye.

Update to the Regulations (02 April 2013):
- Art. 11.2 now defines a penalty for restarting the session during the login attempt (see Article 9.4):
"If a driver restarts the session during his login attempt (see Article 9.4), he will not be
classified." - Art. 11.8 now defines a penalty for crossing continuous yellow lines at the pit exit:
"If a driver crosses the continuous yellow line at the pit exit, he will be given a
3-second penalty or any milder punishment that takes account of the prevailing
circumstances."

Re: PGR F1 World Championship 2012 [HL/Race] [Login]
woo-hoo, season started good luck to everyone!
apart from this, i'll write even here: i just made my qualifyings for australia but i had again some problems with the login tool like in the jerez tests, as SGroe maybe remembers, so i immediately sent the rar with all the files via mail as stated in the rules. so rudy or majortom, may i ask if i've done everything right? i must still have some java issues on my pc
edit: also, may i try to login again and do a test session in jerez if still possible, in order to verify if the problem with java has been resolved?
